"Ginsburg" and her sisters "Bader" and Notorious came from the Centreville area on September 25, 2020 where they had been found on a rock pile with no mother.  They had been born about September 2, 2020.  Unfortunately, the mother was not with them, so she will, no doubt, continue to have more litters of unwanted kittens.  Sadly, Notorious was unable to survive, so we would like to keep Ginsburg and her sister Bader together - they are family.

These little ones were soon eating on their own and were then ready to go to a home.  They are spayed, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  In the meantime, they are fostered by a vet tech who is giving them all the love and care they had never known existed.  Thanks!  We hope these two little sweethearts can be adopted together as they have lost both their mom and their sister and have never been without one another.

On December 29, 2020, Bader and Ginsburg met a family all the way from Quispamsis, and they fell in love!  These two little girls now have two teen-aged best girlfriends and will have the life of which they have only dreamed - a permanent home and family where they will live out happy lives together.  Thank you for keeping these two little ones together!  Merry Christmas - write soon!!

"Taurus," "Scorpio" and their siblings Virgo and Libra came to us on September 2, 2020, along with their mom Gemini and Gemini's sister Sagittarius.  The kittens were born about August 1, 2020, so were only about four weeks old.  Each of these little ones had a tiny heart murmur but have outgrown it soon often happens.

Taurus and his brother Scorpio are staying with their friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing where they hoped to meet their new familyi.  We hope they can be adopted together so that they will always have a loving sibling to keep them company, and to have someone with whom to cuddle and enjoy "cat time."

On December 22, 2020, Taurus and Scorpio were very excited to leave for their new home.  Their new family was just as excited, if not more!  We are very happy to report that these two brothers now live together with a very nice young couple in Lincoln, NB where they will be loved forever.  Thank you so much!  Please send photos and updates!!

"Dokie" and her five siblings came to us on October 27, 2020 from the Bath area.  They had been born about September 15, 2020 and had no mother to care for them.  They were tiny, had fleas and ear mites and upper respiratory infection and were too young to be away from their mom.

On December 19, 2020, Aviva's dream came true when she was also chosen as the newest family member to join Kitbull and Okie in their new home in Portage Vale, NB.  We are so grateful to the wonderful couple who adopted all three kittens to ensure they could stay together.  We are forever grateful for your love and support of these beautiful little fur balls.  They are very fortunate to have such a loving and caring family.  Merry Christmas to everyone!  We look forward to hearing from you and seeing photos from your new life!

"Kurt", his sister "Swank" and their four siblings came to us on October 27, 2020 from the Bath area.  They had been born about September 15, 2020 and had no mother to care for them.  They were tiny, had fleas and ear mites and upper respiratory infection and were too young to be away from their mom.  They were very hungry, apparently not having had food for a period of time.

Once healthy, they began their vaccine protocol and were spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites and tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. They looked forward to that new, wonderful home that they hoped would be in their future!  Not having a mom, they required much attention and medical care, but were soon brought to health again as they learned to eat well.  They loved sleeping in piles of kitten love, and Kurt was the first to greet everyone and climb up their legs!

On December 19, 2020, both Kurt and Swank were adopted by a very nice young gentleman from Perth-Andover where they are spoiled beyond their wildest dreams.  What a wonderful Christmas present for everyone!  Merry Christmas!  We can't wait to see Christmas photos!!

"Falco" came to DunRoamin' on November 14, 2020 from Lower Brighton where she was part of a colony of cats that was increasing in size.  She and her friends Musette and Sprite were facing a long, cold winter with no food or shelter.  Falco was born about June 6, 2020 and had ear mites but was otherwise healthy.  She just had absolutely no place to go..

Falco was unsure of her surroundings and was a bit timid, but is becoming more relaxed each day.  She loves her cat friends and loves to cuddle up with them for naps and for bedtime.

On December 16, 2020, Falco was adopted to a home in Perth-Andover where she will have a human brother and sister.  Congratulations, Falco!  Merry Christmas!!  Send lots of photos!

"Nacho" returned to DunRoamin' on October 30, 2020.  Nacho, born about May 7, 2014, originally came to us from Centreville on June 16, 2014 where he was trying to survive near a building where several cats had taken refuge.  He was only about a month old and had an injured tail.  As no one could help him, he came to us.  He only has half a tail and the remaining portion is like a corkscrew at the end, but he is just fine.

Nacho was adopted on July 10, 2015 to a home in Woodstock, but recently had developed some issues when his ureter became blocked so he was returned to us.  That has since been rectified and he now must eat a prescription diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food, but he's fine with that!  We have had dozens and dozens of cats on this diet and we have never had a recurrence of issues.  As long as he eats only that diet which prevents crystals from forming in his urine, he will be 100%!

Nacho is about six years old and you'll be hard pressed to find a more loving and affectionate little boy.  He immediately gets along with everyone, human or feline, and he LOVES attention.  If you're looking for a snuggle bug who will keep you company and give you many hours of delight each day, he's your boy!

On December 16, 2020, Nacho was adopted by a very nice family in Bedell where he'll live out the rest of his life with his wonderful family.  He'll also be a friend for our Doppler!  Congratulations, you two!  Congratulations to your family!  Merry Christmas!

"Barnes" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 cats brought to us by the NB SPCA.   Barnes had ear mites, conjunctivitis, he was lean, and had moderate gingivitis around his lower canine teeth.  He was born about June 1, 2014.

Barnes is a real sweetheart.  He loves his cat friends and they cuddle together constantly.  He is hoping for a home of his very own once he is healthy again, neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He has a dream, and he's looking forward to a chance to live it.  Barnes was fostered with his friends in Ashland, NB,  and is now excited to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup where he hopes to meet the family of his dreams!  Please drop in to The Purrfect Cup - you'll love it there!  The staff, food, drinks and cats are all wonderful!!

On December 16, 2020, Barnes was elated to learn that he had been invited to join the family of a nice lady in Fredericton.  They had fallen in love and each was very pleased to share a home together where Barnes has another feline friend.  Congratulations!  Best Christmas present ever!!  Barnes would like to thank his foster family at The Purrfect Cup - he'll miss you all!

"Ragz" and his brother "Richez" came to DunRoamin' on November 26, 2020.  They had been part of a colony of cats whom people had attempted to help out but they had not been able to find a place for these brothers to go, so they had been booked for euthanization.  They are young and beautiful boys, and we could not allow that to happen.  They were born about November 26, 2019, so were only a year old.  Ragz weighs a bit more than Richez and they each have a different small area of white on their bellies, so they can easily be told apart, but are virtually inseparable.

Both boys are very nice and both are polydactyl (have double paws on their front feet).  They are happy to be here with us and are already showing us this fact with purrs and head butts.  They were neutered today and have begun their vaccine protocol so will be ready to go just before Christmas.  Ragz has luxating patellas (the knee cap slips in and out of its normal location).  This is not painful for the cat, can be quite common, and we have had many cats with this condition.  

Even after what they have been through in their short lives, these boys are very loving.  We would like very much for them to be able to stay together.  They almost lost each other today, and we would be forever grateful if they could live out their lives in  love, comfort and together forever.

We are SO happy to announce that on December 15, 2020, Ragz and Richez went to their new forever home.  They now live in Glassville where they will be loved and spoiled the rest of their days.  Congratulations to them and to their new family!  Send lots of photos, boy!

"Etsy" returned to DunRoamin' on October 13, 2020, as her owners were no longer able to care for her.  She had originally come to us on April 23, 2018, from Glassville where she had been found in the bottom of a potato barrell.  She was born about April 1, 2018, was all alone and so young that she was not yet peeing and pooping on her own.  Thanks to her rescuer, she was soon doing well after lots of care and attention.

Etsy is a very nice little girl with lots of attitude!  She knows what she wants and when she wants it!  She loves attention and loves to play.  She is very much looking forward to having a permanent home again. She will do best in a home with no pets or maybe just one other cat.  Please drop in to The Purrfect Cup - the best cat cafe ever - and enjoy a great cup of coffee and some beautiful cats at the same time!  As of December 8, 2020, Etsy is happy to be fostered there and hopes to meet her new family there!

On December 11, 2020, Etsy was SO excited to learn that a lady who had fallen in love with her at The Purrfect Cup had decided that the best Christmas present in the whole world for both of them would be if she came to live with her permanently!  Etsy now lives in Sheffield!  Congratulations, Etsy!  Don't forget to stay in touch - your rescuer and foster mom would LOVE to see lots of photos of you in your new home!

"Rosalyn" came to DunRoamin' on October 31, 2020, from the Lower Brighton area where she and some friends had been living on their own and needed help to survive the upcoming cold winter.  Rosalyn is a beautiful little tabby who seems to love everyone and everything.  She is very cuddly and affectionate and wishes only for a warm and safe home in which to spend the rest of her life.  Rosalyn was born about June 27, 2020.

Rosalyn was fostered with some very good friends in Bath, NB, while she awaited her final vaccines and as of December 8, 2020 stayed with her friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Come check out this fantastic cat cafe!

On December 11, 2020, Rosalyn was excited to learn that the lady who had been visiting her for the last several days had asked her to become a permanent family member!  She couldn't be happier!  Rosalyn now lives in Fredericton where she will have the best life of which she could ever dream!  Congratulations, Rosalyn!  Send lots of photos!!

"Sherpa," his mom Salt and four siblings Baliene, Maldon, Lowry and Maldon came to us on August 6, 2020 from Woodstock where Salt had been part of the Woodstock Community Cat Program.  She had been part of Woodstock's program to spay/neuter unowned cats within the town limits, but had almost immediately given birth to these five little darlings.  Baliene is the only female - she's outnumbered by brothers!  They were born August 6, 2020.

Salt's babies were grateful to the lady and her family who rescued and fostered them while they grew into beautiful, loving pets thanks to the love and care they received.  We're happy to know their lives now will include medical care, spays/neuters, vaccines to protect them from illnesses and families to provide them with love and care.  This is yet another reminder to spay/neuter our pets so that more are not born into a world in which there are not enough homes for those already here.  Please spay and neuter.

Sherpa stayed with all our friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, to enjoy their hospitality, love and friendship.  Please stop in - this place is awesome!!!  You'll love it there!

We are so happy to report that on December 7, 2020, Sherpa was adopted by a very nice lady from Eastern Passage, NS.  He has already met his new extended family and they all LOVE each other!  Thanks to everyone who had a hand in helping this little boy get to the most perfect life of which he could ever have dreamed!  Congratulations, Sherpa!  Send photos!

"Caldwell" came to us from the Florenceville area on October 13, 2020.  He had been found all alone on a porch on a cold morning and had no one to care for him.  He was cold, emaciated, dehydrated, weak, lethargic, was unable to open his eyes, had marked conjunctivitis, a discharge from his eyes, and his fur was matted with burdocks.  His birth date was estimated to be about August 30, 2020, so he was only about six weeks old.   This made him too young to be away from his mom and he would not have survived much longer.   Two days later, his brother, "Mensa" was found in the same location and also had marked conjunctivitis, infected eyes, ear mites, dehydration and a fever.

Caldwell weighed only 1.1 pounds.  Even with his medical issues, he is sweet, loving and affectionate to his caregivers.  He wants only to be held, snuggled and loved.  He gives head butts continuously to let us know how grateful he is to be warm, safe and have a full belly and he purrs constantly, as long as he is receiving love!  And even though he is so very tiny, he gives it back in spades!! so.

These little ones are yet two more babies born to an unspayed mother who had no one to help her.  Please spay and neuter your pets and keep them indoors where they are safe.  It makes a difference in their life, health and world.

Caldwell and Mensa were very fortunate to be fostered by a young vet tech who has fallen head over heels for both of them.

On December 7, 2020, it was their honour to be accepted as permanent family members of the young lady who has fostered, loved and brought them back to health over the past two months.  All are extremely grateful to have the others in their lives and now live happily in Jacksonville.  Thanks for all you have done for these little ones - they will show their gratitude each and every day for the rest of their lives.

"Bama" came to us on April 10, 2019 from the Woodstock area.  He had begun to urinate inappropriately and as his family was unable to care for him, his options were limited.  He was born about September 23, 2009.  Bama was declawed before he came to us.

Bama stayed with us and shared his space with any other cats who also require a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food.  He was initially timid, but scratch his back and it takes him all of five whole seconds to be yours!  He's a sweet boy!  He's up to date on his vaccines and is anxious to join a family again.  As long as he eats his Royal Canin Urinary S/O food only, he'll be 100% good!  We've had dozens of cats on this diet and have not ever had a single recurrence!  Bama is looking forward to having a loving family - he really does deserve it. 

On December 5, 2020, Bama was so pleased to learn that he had been welcomed as a permanent family member of his foster mother.  She had loved him since he first arrived and now that she is able to adopt him, it was with very much pleasure that we all agreed!  Congratulations, Bama!  You're exactly where you are supposed to be!

"Okie," "Kitbull" and their four siblings came to us on October 27, 2020 from the Bath area.  They had been born about September 15, 2020 and had no mother to care for them.  They were tiny, had fleas, ear mites, upper respiratory infection and were too young to be away from their mom.

With much love, care and medical attention, they have become healthy, happy, playful, loving little fur balls.  They had a hard time initially, had to be fed by syringe and provided with much-needed medication in order to gain wait and thrive, but with all the love and attention they received, they are now all healthy and ready to go to homes shortly before Christmas.

They will be spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites and tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. They look forward to that new, wonderful home that they hope will be in their future!

"Teasel" came to us on the evening of November 9, 2020 from the Riverbank area where he was a stray who had been seen hanging around for a while.  He appeared to want human interaction, but then backed off when people tried to get close.  Attempts had been made to find his home or owner, but were not successful.

As the nights were getting colder, he appeared to have no shelter or anyone to look after him and would soon be experiencing difficulty staying warm and fed, he came to DunRoamin' for help.

Teasel was born about November 10, 2019 and is a social little boy.  When placed in a warm kennel with food and a soft bed, he ate his food and was soon unable to keep his eyes open.  Knowing he was safe, he fell into a deep, purring sleep.  He has been neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and was soon looking for a family where he would be kept warm, safe and loved forever.

On December 2, 2020, Teasel was welcomed into a home in Bedell where he will be spoiled more than he could have ever dreamed.  He is the new best friend of a young lady who loves him drastically! Congratulations to you and your new family!!  Write soon, Teasel!

"Taya" came to us on October 6, 2020 from Summerfield where he had been born on a farm.  He had experienced a traumatic incident which resulted in a broken jaw.  Taya, which means "mandible" in Swahili, was born about August 5, 2020, so was only about two months old - just a baby.

Taya was unable to open his mouth as part of his jaw was broken and part was dislocated.  Taya had a feeding tube inserted to ensure he got the nutrition this little baby required and he was assessed daily by his vet.  The skills of his vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic have made it possible for his jaw to be relocated and he was soon back to eating a normal diet. 

On November 28, 2020, Taya was adopted by a family in Woodstock where he will live the life of which he has always dreamed.  He will be spoiled rotten and loved forever.  Congratulations, Taya!  We'll see you again when you visit for your six-month checkup!  Be a good boy - send us lots of photos!!

"Hazard" came to us on October 6, 2020, from Perth-Andover where he had been adopted in 2018.  Unfortunately, his family could no longer keep him, so as per our adoption contract, he came back to us.

Hazard originally came to us on November 14, 2017 when he was found on a porch in Glassville.  He had upper respiratory infection, fleas and a fracture of the right femur of his hind leg.  He may experience a bit of lameness or arthritis when he's older - we all would!  Hazard was a little timid at first, but he's a really nice boy who is happy to have lots of love and attention from our staff, but he'd really love to be back in a home with a family.  He was born about August 10, 2017 and is a beautiful orange tabby - his markings are gorgeous!!

Hazard is fully up to date on his vaccines and looks forward to joining a loving household of human servants!    He is a sweet, kind and gentle little boy who looks forward to having a permanent family.

On November 26, 2020, Hazard was very happy to meet his new mother.  He rubbed against her and gazed adoringly - he knew she was the one immediately!  Congratulations, Hazard, on your new home in Newburg.  Please don't forget to send lots of photos of you and your new family!

"Lucas" came to us from the Beechwood area on September 19, 2020, where he had been a stray who was hanging around looking for food.  Cold weather was already upon us and he was cold and hungry.  He had to be live trapped, but he soon realized that he was safe and would be cared for.  Lucas was born about September 19, 2017.

Lucas had tapeworms, fleas, ear mites, moderate tartar and marked gingivitis.  He required several infected teeth to be extracted to make him comfortable and able to eat properly.  Lucas is a beautiful little boy who is happy to be safe, warm and fed.  He will be ready for a home by November 24th, just as soon as he is neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV. 

On October 26, 2020, Lucas went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup where he was spoiled beyond his dreams while he awaited the chance to meet that perfect family with whom to spend the rest of his life.  Please stop in and meet the staff and fur balls of The Purrfect Cup - you'll love it there!

On November 21, 2020, Lucas was very pleased to learn that he was invited to join a very nice family in Fredericton where he will live happily ever after. Take good care of your new family, Lucas, and don't forget to write and tell us all about your new life!

Libra, her siblings, mom and aunt were fostered with some wonderful friends in the Woodstock area, then moved to a foster home in Riverbank until they were old enough to be spayed/neutered/vaccinated/tested for FIV and FeLV and go to homes.  Then she went to visit our friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing where she fell in love with a young couple who frequented The Cup.  The rest is history.

On November 21, 2020, Libra was adopted by a young couple in Fredericton where she will be a friend and playmate for Hemingway who was adopted on October 13, 2020 (see below).  Congratulations to everyone!!

"Petley" came to us from Waterville on October 14, 2020.  She was a stray who had come to a home asking for food and shelter - she had apparently been around humans before because she is very social and loving.  Unfortunately, her left hind leg was broken (femoral head and femur fracture) and she required surgery which was completed on October 16, 2020.  This surgery involved removing the femoral head of her left hind leg and inserting two tiny pins above her knee - she had damaged it in two places.  As of post surgery, she was soon doing well, eating and purring almost as if nothing happened.  She is very grateful for the pain medication and all the medical care she is receiving at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.

Petley required cage rest and pain medication for several weeks, but x-rays soon revealed she was doing fine and was allowed to begin more exercise.  She is very happy, playful and grateful to still have all four legs.  She thanks Dr Monteith for her surgical skills which allowed her to still be a four-legged purrball.

Petley is very cute and affectionate and has obviously been around people.   She is a very lucky little girl to have this opportunity.  Thanks to all who donate to support such beautiful little ones

On November 21, 2020, Petley was invited to join a family from Upper Woodstock where she will join Summit, another DunRoamin' kitten!  Congratulations!  Hi, Summit!!

"Maldon" came to us on August 6, 2020 from Woodstock where his mom, Salt, had been part of the Woodstock Community Cat Program.  She had been brought as part of Woodstock's program to spay/neuter unowned cats within the town limits, but had almost immediately given birth to Maldon and his four little darling siblings. The kittens were born August 6, 2020.

Salt and her four babies were fostered by some generous supporters in Woodstock, then moved to another foster home in Riverbank.  They loved both their foster families and flourished very well!

"Lowry" came to us on August 6, 2020 from Woodstock where his mom, Salt, had been part of the Woodstock Community Cat Program.  She had been brought as part of Woodstock's program to spay/neuter unowned cats within the town limits, but had almost immediately given birth to Lowry and his four little darling siblings. The kittens were born August 6, 2020.

"Mr Meowgi" arrived at DunRoamin' on August 12, 2020 from Grafton.   He had an injury to his leg which was filled with maggots.  He was born about April 12, 2018.  It was later confirmed that Mr Meowgi also had a broken pelvis which required several weeks of pain medication and kennel rest.

Mr Meowgi received excellent care while he recovered at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  He was soon eating fine and happy to have lots of pats, ear scratches and kind, loving words.  He is a very sweet, quiet and loving little boy whom anyone would be very fortunate to have as a companion. 

Mr Meowgi is back with DunRoamin' and no longer requires strict kennel rest.  He is recovering his ambulatory skills very quickly and is becoming stronger every single day.  He is a sweet little boy who loves people and is anxious to have a permanent home of his very own.  He will have to take it easy and allow his body time to strengthen the muscles in his back end, but he is doing very well and with a few more months of slowly-increasing activity, he will be fine!

On November 16, 2020, Meowgi met a very nice young lady from Oak Bay and couldn't wait to join her family.  When his carrier was placed on the floor, he immediately got inside, laid down and stared at his caregivers as if to say, "Well, what's the holdup?  Let's go!!"  Congratulations, Mr Meowgi - you've got it made now!

"Paloma," a beautiful calico, came to us from the Oakland area on June 10, 2019 where approximately 20 cats were living.  Many had significant upper respiratory infections and required much medical intervention.  Paloma was born about June 10, 2017 and had moderate stomatitis, ear mites, had been exposed to fleas and upper respiratory infection and required dental care which included the extraction of all her teeth.

Paloma is a beautiful little girl who dreamed of a nice, quiet, loving and affectionate family that she might join for the rest of her life.  She's never been without feline friends as far as we know, so she'd probably be happier with another cat friend.  Paloma is on medication for life which she takes every other day, but she's fine with it!

On November 15, 2020, a young couple traveled all the way from Fredericton to come meet this little sweetheart whom they had been admiring from afar for several months.  It was very quickly a "dunDeal" when they met, and Paloma now lives in Fredericton with several other cats, including our Ada who was adopted just last year!   Congratulations, all!

 

"Janna" and "Kiena," two-day old siblings with no mother, came to us on September 2, 2020.  Their mom could not be found and they were very cold and very hungry.  They would most likely not have survived much more time on their own.  Having been born only hours before, they most probably did not get the nutrients they required from their mother's milk.  They were born about August 31, 2020.

All three little kittens were fostered by a kind vet tech who cared for them daily - including feeding them by hand every two hours around the clock - day and night.  Thank you, Chloe.  You have saved their lives.

As of September 8, 2020, Janna was having a bit of trouble, but she had the best vet care possible and is now doing just fine.  Both are growing like cute little weeds, are on no medication at all and they make their foster mother smile every single day.  Thanks for taking such good care of these little guys! 

On November 13, 2020, Janna and Kiena were very happy to meet the lady who would change their lives by offering them a loving and permanent home.  We are so happy for all of you - congratulations!  We are so happy that you get to stay together and we look forward to seeing photos and hearing about your new lives!

On November 11, 2020, Gwendolyn received a gift that she will remember forever when she was adopted by a young couple in Greenfield where she will be spoiled beyond her wildest dreams.  Congratulations to all! 

"Virgo," Libra, Scorpio and Taurus came to us on September 2, 2020 along with their mom Gemini and her sister Sagittarius.   They were born about August 1, 2020, so were only about four weeks old.  Each of these little ones has a heart murmur right now, but we're hoping they will outgrow it soon as often happens.

Virgo and Libra are little girls and Scorpio and Taurus are little boys.  They, along with their mom and aunt, were very grateful to be fostered by our friends in Lindsay, NB, and then in Bath, NB.  Thank you SO much for giving these little ones a home and family until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and be chosen to go to homes.  We hope these little ones can be adopted in pairs or to a home that already has a cat or two - they're family and as far as we know, have never been alone, so we hope they can stay in pairs so they always have a warm body to play and sleep with!

Virgo is a beautiful little girl who loves to play.  She is very cuddly and takes no time to warm up to people. 

On November 7, 2020, Virgo was adopted by a young lady in Lansdowne where she will be a new friend for two young girls, two dogs and another cat who is missing feline company.  Congratulations, Virgo!  Write soon!

"Boseman" came to us on September 1, 2020 from Woodstock, NB, where he had been found all alone on the side of the road.  He was emaciated, dehydrated and had worms, but he was still a feisty little guy - that's probably why he had survived so long on his own.  He was born about July 1, 2020.

Boseman is full of love, purrs, cuddles and personality.  He eagerly leaps from his kennel into your arms when the door is opened and he can head butt and purr with the best of them.  He is playful and sweet - just ask him!  Boseman stayed in a foster home where his foster mom described him as such a little bundle of energy - he never stops!!  He has a friendly personality with a bit of spunk and when he eventually slows down, he becomes a bit of a cuddle bug.   He occasionally sneaks under the blankets at night, but that doesn't mean he is not in attack mode!  He'll get you if you move around!  He is more of a grazer (eats a small amount several times throughout the day/night).  He is honoured to be named after Chadwick Boseman - the actor who played Marvel's Black Panther who recently passed away after a battle with cancer.  Little Boseman will quietly honour his name and live up to the kindness and huge heart of his namesake.

On October 26, 2020, Boseman went to spend some time with his friends (and ours!) at The Purrfect Cup in Fredericton where he hoped to meet the loves of his life and join them in their home forever!  Please drop in for some excellent food, coffee, staff and some pretty amazing cats!  You'll love it there!

On November 3, 2020, we learned that Boseman had been welcomed into a home in Oromoto where he will be the new sibling of Snowflake, aka Hail who just turned three a couple of days ago!  What a nice birthday present!  Congratulations to all!  Don't forget to stay in touch, like Snowflake does!  And thank your mom for everything she does for us - she's pretty amazing!

"Iowa" and her brother "Katkid" came to us on October 17, 2020, from the Woodstock area as part of the Woodstock Community Cat Program.  This is a program set up by the town of Woodstock to help spay and neuter unowned cats within the town limits - please contact the Town Office for more information!  These two little furballs were born about July 18, 2020, so were only about three months old.  They had no mom and were on their own.  On October 20, 2020, both Katkid and his sister tested positive for FeLV - please read below to learn all about this.  Both kittens are very loving and playful and may live long, healthy lives.  We have had many cats with FeLV who have done so and we hope this is also the case for these two little sweetheart kittens.  They'll definitely have a wonderful life now, because . . . 

On October 29, 2020, Katkid and Iowa were invited to live in the home of some very good friends in Plaster Rock where they will be able to have a normal kittenhood and not interact with other cats, potentially passing this along.  We thank this family once again for taking FeLV cats into their loving home where they will experience all the joys life can offer, and they'll give back just as much!

Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is found in cats worldwide.  It may be spread by saliva, nasal secretions, urine, feces and milk from infected cats.  Cat-to-cat transfer of the virus may occur from a bite wound, during mutual grooming and (though rarely) through the shared use of litter boxes and feeding dishes.  Transfer may also take place from an infected mother cat to her kittens, either before they are born or while they are nursing.

"Gibbs" returned to us on April 26, 2019.    He originally came to us on April 13, 2018 from the Arthurette area where he had been a stray for quite some time.  He was being fed, but his benefactor was unable to catch him.  On this day, Gibbs appeared with injuries and was able to be caught as a result - he wasn't in good shape.    Gibbs's veterinary examination revealed that he had fleas, ear mites, was missing an upper canine and had several broken canine teeth.  Those would be very painful for him, but his more serious injuries had most probably been inflicted by an animal.  He had open wounds at the base of his left ear and the left side of his neck, as well as a large abscess on the right side of his neck.  These injuries required much medical care, including sutures and antibiotics.  He was born about April 12, 2010.

Gibbs was relatively shy, but eventually came around really well.  He would like a quiet home where he can be loved and cared for.  As a nine-year old, he's happy to sleep, eat and maybe watch a little TV with a human or two, but he's also a kitty who loves to chase tinkle toys around the room!  He'd like a quiet home without kids and dogs.  He wouldn't mind being an only cat, but he can get along easily with another quiet and loving cat or two - his best friends at DunRoamin' were Samuel, Furgie and Cassie.  One thing we have to remember is that Gibbs does NOT like to travel!  He becomes stressed, so when he goes to his new home, we'll need to make sure he is relaxed and happy!  We don't want him stressed or car sick!  That's not fun!

On May 24, 2019, Gibbs was diagnosed with a case of pancreatitis, but he's been treated and cared for by his very best vet friend and he's right as rain again!  Thanks, Dr Monteith!

On October 24, 2020, Gibbs was adopted by the person with whom he has been in love forever (and vice versa).  He now lives with her and several other ex-DunRoamin' cats where he is already ruling the roost.  Be good, Gibbs, we know you are RIGHT where you were meant to be!

"Nephrine" came to DunRoamin' on September 29, 2020 from Hartland where she had been abandoned when her owners moved from the area.  She had been on her own for about six weeks.   A kind gentleman brought her for help - it's getting cold at night and the outdoors is no place for a cat to be on her own.  Nephrine was born about September 23, 2018.

Nephrine was examined at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where it was determined that she had ear mites.  She also has only one kidney.   She is perfectly healthy and may never have an issue, similar to humans who live with only one kidney.  Nephrine is very vocal, affectionate and playful.  If there's a human in the room, she wants to be playing and talking with them!

Nephrine was already spayed and has completed her vaccine protocol.  She tested negative for FIV and FeLV and has been treated for parasites.  She can't wait to have her very own audience!!

On October 23, 2020, Nephrine was so excited to leave for her new home in Good Corner where she will be a new friend for ex-DunRoamin' beauty, Zdeno!  Congratulations, everyone!  Send photos of you and your new family, Nephrine!

"Velvet Paws" came to us from Debec on September 29, 2020.  He had been live-trapped near Charlie Lake and was observed to have facial injuries. 

Velvet Paws was found to have scabbing on both sides of his nose which may have been the result of road rash or burns - we're not sure.  He also had ear mites.

Velvet Paws is not comfortable around us yet as he is scared, but we hope to win his trust in the near future.  If not, he will be grateful if he can live out his life as a barn cat who does not have to interact with humans, other than to accept a safe home and food.  He was born about September 18, 2019.

On October 17, 2020, Velvet Paws was invited to join two other feral cats in Blue Hill.  He now has feline company in his nice warm barn where he also has human friends to watch over him, lots of warm straw to sleep in, lots of mice to tease and cows and horses to entertain!  Congratulations, Velvet Paws!  Thanks to your new family for giving you a home and family where you will be forever safe and cared for!

"Whimsy" came to DunRoamin' on June 30, 2020 from Perth-Andover where she had been found in the long grass with two babies, Waverleigh and Wynter.  She was timid and obviously needed help.  Whimsy was born about June 30, 2018 and this was probably not her first litter of kittens, but it will be her last.  She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  Now all she needs is a nice, warm, safe home and family!  

Whimsy and her family was fostered by our friends in Woodstock who have fostered more than 175 cats and dogs for DunRoamin' - they are amazing!  On September 29, 2020, Whimsy went to visit her friends at the Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she hoped to meet that special person with whom she could spend the rest of her life!  Please drop in and meet everyone - human and feline alike.  You'll love the food, coffee, humans and cats!!

On October 20, 2020, Whimsy was SO happy to learn that she had been adopted by a very nice young man from Fredericton where she will spend the rest of her life being his best friend.  Whimsy loves to be petted and have company, so her life will be exactly what she wants and deserves from now on.  Thanks to her adopter and to The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe who helped make this new life possible!

"Bluff" came to DunRoamin' on August 27, 2020, from Waterville where he had been found all alone on the side of the road.  He had no one to help him.

Bluff had ear mites and a painful and weak hind end.  He was not yet neutered, but he is now.  It appears his tail may have been damaged/broken and he had to have it amputated as a result. 

Bluff, despite his injuries, is deeply grateful to be with us.  He is happy to be warm, safe, have a full belly and medication to stop any pain and to help him heal.  He purrs, head butts and is the first to greet humans at his kennel door.  He will soon be ready for a happy family life and he is SO looking forward to it!  He's very playful, and a typically BAD kitten!  You'll love him - we all do!  He entertained his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, by stealing their food if they slacked off on guarding it!!  He is all badness, and that is outweighed only by his cuteness!  Bluff is yet another result of unspayed and unneutered cats who are reproducing with no one to care for them.  Please spay and neuter your pets.

On October 17, 2020, Bluff was adopted by a nice lady from Fredericton where he'll be a friend for her young cat.  Bluff would like to thank all his friends who made this new life possible for him, including his Purrfect Cup friends - you are AWESOME!!

"Chet" and his brother "Cassini" came to DunRoamin' from the Oakland area on August 17, 2020, along with their brother Cobie (see below).  They are probably related to Swithin, Scoot and Scroll (see below) who were also rescued from the same location four days previously.  They were born to an unspayed mother and when they became sick she was unable to help them - that takes humans and medication - neither of which were available.  They were in pain and in dire straits.

All kittens had severe upper respiratory infection and had more fleas than any we had seen in quite some time.  Fleas are parasites that will bite (causing pain and irritation) and suck blood from their victims, and little kittens are especially susceptible to becoming very ill, sometimes even dying, from their effects.  Chet was no exception.

Chet and Cassini were prescribed antibiotics, eye medication and subcutaneous fluids to help them along and both were soon well.  We are all very grateful for the support we receive to ensure they get the help they need to become healthy again and go on to be loving, beloved and contributing family members.  They were so happy to spend some time with their friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they had the time of their lives!!  Thank you for all you have done for these little guys and so many other little furballs - we are SO fortunate to have your friendship!

On October 17, 2020, Chet and Cassini were both adopted by a young couple in Fredericton where they will live happily ever after.  We are so grateful that they get to stay together so they will always have feline company and someone to wrestle with!  Congratulations to them and to their new family!

"Vaughn" came to us on November 12, 2018 from St Thomas where he had been found on a front lawn.  He was obviously injured and needed help.  He was born only about May 1, 2018 but was not yet neutered.  Vaughn was diagnosed with a broken right hind leg and dislocated left hip. 

He underwent surgery the week of November 12, 2018 to have two pins inserted in his right hind leg.  He has tested negative for both FIV and FeLV.  He needed rest and pain medications for a while, but he was soon just fine.  He was quiet and a bit scared, but he got the best medical care possible.  He's had a rough start to life, but we'll make sure that changes significantly!  He is hopeful for a new home where he'll be safe, warm and loved.  Due to medical considerations with his leg, amputation was required, but he's doing very well.  He thanks his foster mother for her love and care - so do we!  He lived with both cats and dogs and has absolutely no problem with either - he's a very nice boy who is grateful for all he has received.  He doesn't jump up on furniture as much as other cats might and sometimes when he breathes if he is a little stressed, he sounds like a "snork"!  but he just had his most recent vet checkup and he's perfectly fine!  He is a very lucky little boy to have been fostered with his mother, foster canines and foster siblings.  Thanks, Marley - you are awesome!

On October 12, 2020, Vaughn was adopted by a young lady in Fredericton where he'll be a friend for our Esau who was adopted in 2018.  Congratulations, everyone!!

"Gemini," her sister "Sagittarius" and Gemini's four baby kittens Scorpio, Virgo, Libra and Taurus all came to us on September 2, 2020.  They were about two years old, having been born about September 2, 2018.   

Gemini and Sagittarius are both beautiful little girls who are kind, compassionate, quiet and loving.  As far as we know, they have always been together and we hope they can find a home together.  Gemini and Sagittarius are both spayed, fully vaccinated and ready for a kind and loving home.  Sagittarius is more timid than Gemini and for that reason we hope they may be adopted together.  Although Gemini is self-confident and outgoing, Sagittarius is much more happy when she has her sister to cuddle with.

On October 20, 2020, Gemini and Sagittarius were adopted by a very nice couple from Fredericton where they already are spoiled with a brand new cat tree, lots of toys, beds, food and an abundance of love and care.  We thank this family for their kindness and generosity to these to beautiful little girls, as well as to our staff.  Thank you so much.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and your new family!  Please stay in touch!  We'll see you on October 20th!

"Marin" came to us on February 4, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  She was born about July 31, 2017, so was only about a year and a half old.  Because Marin came from a location where Feline Leukemia had been found in other cats, she was segregated and retested on March 18, 2019, at which time it was learned that she definitely does not have Feline Leukemia!  Congratulations!

Marin has extra toes on her feet and she is VERY cute.  She is very social and loves other cats.  If she gets a home, she hopes that home will have at least one other cat - she grew up with multiple cats with whom to play, eat, sleep and dream, so if possible, she'd like to have feline company, but if not, she is happy to soak up all the attention from her new human!  She was fostered with some very good friends and did very well.  As of September 29, 2020, she went to stay with our friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Please drop in - you'll LOVE it there!

** Marin is allergic to most vaccines, so her vet recommends that she only be vaccinated for rabies.

On October 10, 2020, Marin celebrated Thanksgiving by being adopted by two very nice young men from Fredericton where she will enjoy the company of both humans, a canine and feline sibling!  Congratulations to you and your family, Marin!  Happy Thanksgiving!!  Send pictures!

"Anthem"  and "Sleepy Joe" came to us from a colony of cats in the Florenceville area on August 18, 2020 along with her siblings Sleepy Joe, Edie and Belinda.  Anthem is extremely adventurous and loving.  She will purr as soon as someone enters the room and loves people as much as she loves her siblings.  She is very playful, but also loves to curl up on your lap or chest to be cuddled along with her siblings.  She would love to be adopted with a Sleepy Joe as they are bonded and have never been without another warm, furry beating heart next to each other.   Sleepy Joe is very friendly and makes Anthem feel safe, as Anthem is a tiny bit timid in new situations, but loves cuddles and playing with Sleepy Joe.

These little kittens were born about May 25, 2020 and were part of a feral colony.  They are currently enjoying life at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe at Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton - they have a whole staff to wait on and play with them!  They love it there, and so will you!   Please come check out the coffee and treats while you spend some time with these little guys!

On October 10, 2020, Anthem and Sleepy Joe celebrated Thanksgiving weekend in the best way possible when they were adopted by a very kind, generous and loving family from New Maryland.  They will have lots of children to grow up with and they are already loved immensely!  Thank you so much!  We all have so much to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving weekend!

"Salt" and her babies Baliene, Lowry, Maldon, Morton, and Sherpa came to us on August 6, 2020 from Woodstock, thanks to the Woodstock Community Cat Program.  She had been brought as part of Woodstock's program to spay/neuter unowned cats within the town limits, but had almost immediately given birth to these five little darlings.  The kittens were born August 6, 2020.Salt was born about August 17, 2018, so she was only about two years old.

Salt is a beautiful little girl.  She is happy to know that she won't have to have more litters of kittens and that she is now safe, warm, will always have a full belly, is fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for parasites.  On September 29, 2020, she went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, while she awaited her very own family.  Please drop in - you'll love the coffee and treats - and staff and cats!!

On October 10, 2020, Salt was welcomed into the family of a young military couple from Oromocto where she will now live the life she has always deserved.  Be good, Salty, and send lots of photos!  We can't wait to hear about your new life!  This is truly a wonderful Thanksgiving for all of our strays, but especially for you!

"Waverleigh" came to us on June 30, 2020 from Perth-Andover where she had been found in the grass with her mother, Whimsy (see above) and sister Wynter.   Waverleigh was born about June 23, 2020, so was only about one week old.  All cats were covered with fleas which can be very dangerous for any cat, but especially so for such tiny babies, as the fleas can drain large amounts of blood that babies need to survive.  Fortunately, these little ones - and their mom - will now never have to suffer from these parasites again.

Waverleigh was healthy and is an extremely cute little buff-orange kitten who is active, loving and playful.  She loves every human and cat she has met, and she's looking forward to having a home and family to whom she can show her gratitude for this new life she has received!

On September 29, 2020, Waverleigh and her mom went to visit their friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe where they hoped to meet their new family.  Please drop in - you'll love the coffee, humans and cats!!  Waverleigh very quickly became a huge hit and was requested to join multiple families!

On October 10, 2020, Waverleigh was adopted by a family in Douglas where she fell in love with their 10-year old son and vice versa.  She will have two other feline family members.  Congratulations, Waverleigh!  What a wonderful Thanksgiving present!  Don't forget to write!!

"Haben" came to us on September 1, 2020 from Waterville where she had been found walking in circles.  No one was able to take her in, so she came to us.  She was named after the first blind and deaf woman to graduate from Harvard University - that's quite a feat!

Haben was born about December 31, 2019.  She was examined at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where it was learned that she had ear mites and was blind.  We're not sure how she survived this long, but she'll be fine now.  She was fostered with DunRoamin' foster cats Barnes and Noble, as well as Abraham who was adopted from DunRoamin' and she loved them all.  She will be fine now.  She is spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites and is anxious for a home where she can live safely inside where she will be spoiled beyond her wildest dreams.  She's already learned her way around her foster home - she's pretty amazing!

On October 3, 2020, Haben, now named Hope, got the best gift of her entire life when she was adopted by a family in Burton.  She will have six other feline friends, five of whom are DunRoamin'!  She is grateful to all who made this new life possible for her.  Congratulations, Hope!  We all look forward to seeing pictures and hearing about how spoiled you are in your new home!  Yahooo!!

"Phillip" came to us on August 21, 2020.  He was born about June 21, 2020.  He had ulcers on his eyes which were treated and we hope he'll soon be fine.

Phillip is one of the cutest, happiest, most loving little kittens we have in our care right now.  He purrs as soon as he sees or hears a human, he loves to be cuddled and he loves to play with the tinkle toys in his kennel!  He is so happy to be warm, safe, fed, loved and cuddled that he shows it every single second a human is near him!  This has got to be SUCH a HUGE change in his life!

Phillip is currently on eye drops and antibiotics.  He is doing well, is playful and has a good appetite but is still sneezing and still has some ocular discharge.  If attitude is any scale, he's going to be MUCH more than just "fine!"

On October 1, 2020, Phillip was adopted by his foster mother who has fallen in love - who wouldn't?  Phillip now lives in Hartland where he'll live happily ever after.  Send photos, Phillip!

"Minyon" came to us on August 22, 2020 from the Greenfield area where she had been found all alone.  She was born about June 10, 200, so was only about 10 weeks old.  Minyon had what appeared to be a ruptured ear drum and was placed on antibiotics and it quickly healed.  She is very loving, affectionate and loves to be held on her back in your arms like a little baby.  She will happily purr herself to sleep in your arms, and she definitely likes her canned food.

As we have observed Minyon, she has experienced some seizure-like symptoms which are being monitored and treated.   We hope that they will be short-lived.

On October 1, 2020, Minyon's foster mom decided that she would like this sweet little girl to remain in her family - she has earned herself a place and she doesn't want to leave - she's made that quite clear!  Minyon will now live happily with her new permanent family which includes both cats and dogs, whom she loves!  Congratulations, Minyon, to you and to your new family!  All our best wishes go with you!  Send photos, and stay in touch!

"Natalia" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 cats accepted from the NB SPCA.  Born about June 23, 2019, she had given birth to seven tiny babies on June 11, 2020 - she was not even a year old.  Natalia had ear mites, dirty ears, conjunctivitis, was thin and was dehydrated.

Natalia and her babies were fostered by a family who has fostered many for us - they love cats and we are so grateful for their support!  Soon, Natalia and her family were ready for final vaccines, spays, neuters, FIV test, FeLV test and parasite control - all the things they'll need for the wonderful new life they will now receive.  Natalia is an excellent mother, a beautiful, sweet, quiet, affectionate, friendly little girl who will make a wonderful companion for children or older people - she loves everyone!  She is quiet, attentive and loving.  She is pleased to know that she will not have to have any more litters of kittens - there are so many out there without anyone to love them . . .

On September 29, 2020, Natalia met a lady from Baie Verte who had fallen head over heels for her, and she was smitten - they both were!  Natalia now lives with her new family in the lap of luxury and love.  Congratulations, Natalia - you have a long, happy, wonderful life ahead of you!  Send lots of photos!!

"Edie" and her sister "Belinda" came to us from a colony of cats in the Florenceville area on August 18, 2020. along with their siblings Anthem and Sleepy Joe.  Thanks to their foster family, they have become very friendly, although they are still a tiny bit timid in new situations.  Edie is the most timid, quiet and laid back.  She is also more independent and would rather watch others play than play herself.  Edie loves to cuddle with her siblings and snooze in sunbeams. 

Belinda will purr as soon as someone enters the room and loves people as much as she loves her siblings.  She is very playful, but also loves to curl up on your lap or chest to be cuddled along with her siblings.  She would love to be adopted with a sibling as they are bonded and have never been without another warm, furry beating heart next to each other. Belinda is the most outgoing female kitten, and she loves being up high.  These little kittens were born about May 25, 2020 and were part of a feral colony. 

On September 26, 2020, Edie and Belinda went to their new home in Sackville, NB, where they will be new friends for a rabbit!  Congratuations to you and your new family!  Write soon!

"Neela" came to DunRoamin' with her mom and six siblings on June 25, 2020 from the NB SPCA.  She was born on June 11, 2020.  Neela is a sweet little girl who loves to play with her siblings, sleep in kitten piles and cuddle with any human who happens to be within reach!  We'd like to thank all the people who had a hand in giving these beautiful kittens and their mom a new lease on life - who knows what would have happened to them otherwise?  And look at the lives they are going to have now!

 

"Euro Kaye" came to DunRoamin' on August 4, 2020, from the Bedell area where she had come to the home of a person who could not care for her.  She was born about May 7, 2020, so was barely three months old.  She was lean, had a scar near her anus and was reported to be very, very hungry.

Euro Kaye was provided with lots of food and was assessed at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  She is doing well and is now in a foster home while she awaits her full vaccines, spay, FIV test, FeLV test and full parasite medications.  She is a beautiful little girl who looks forward to having a loving, safe home of her own for the rest of her life.  Her gorgeous tan/tabby colours are much more beautiful than any photo can show!  She is grateful to be fostered by a DunRoamin' staff member until she's ready for a home, which will be very soon!

Euro's foster mom reports that she is a true cuddle cat.  Her purr can be heard from across the room and she is very affectionate.  Make no mistake - she is a typical "sassy with attitude" kitten - which endears her even more!  She loves to chase feet and play "bed mice."  She is familiar with an older, quieter dog and appears to be fine with him.

On September 19, 2020, we are happy to report that both Neela and Euro Kaye were adopted by a very nice lady in Hanwell.  They will live happily ever after as part of this family of three humans and one canine brother. Congratulations!  Please send lots of photos!!

"Nima" and her brother "Nash" came to DunRoamin' with their mom and five siblings on June 25, 2020 through the NB SPCA.  They were born on June 11, 2020.  Nima says she's the cutest of her litter (they all make that claim!) and she loves her family and all the humans she has ever met.  She is very affectionate and loves to be up high, whether it's on a shelf, table or on your shoulder.  They were born on June 11, 2020.  Nash is her best friend and they are curious, happy, playful and energetic little kittens who love playing, jumping, running and every other thing they get to do with their siblings.  They have been very well socialized thanks to their foster parents and they LOVE other cats, too!

Both kittens have had all vaccines completed, been tested for FIV and FeLV, spayed/neutered and treated for all parasites.  They can't wait to go to their permanent home, and Nima is so happy to know that her brother Nash is going with her!  Congratulations!

"Nadine" and her brother "Nikolai" came to DunRoamin' with their mom and 5 siblings on June 25, 2020 from the NB SPCA.  They were born on June 11, 2020.  They are curious, happy, playful and energetic little kittens who love playing, jumping, running and every other thing they gets to do with their siblings.  They have been very well socialized thanks to their foster parents and they LOVE other cats, too!

Both kittens have had all vaccines completed, been tested for FIV and FeLV, spayed/neutered and treated for all parasites.  They can't wait to go to their permanent home, and Nadine is so happy to know that her brother Nikolai is going with her!  Congratulations!

On September 19, 2020, Nadine and Nikolai left with their new family for their home in Upper Queensbury where they will live happily ever after.  Congratulations!  Thanks to their foster parents, their rescuers, their caregivers and everyone else who had a part in changing their lives!

"Gaynor" came to us on April 14, 2020 from Oakland.  She had an upper respiratory infection and a bad case of flea allergy dermatitis, meaning that she was allergic to fleas.  As a result, she was missing much fur on her back and was very uncomfortable to the point that she had to wear a collar to stop her from biting and licking to ease her own discomfort. 

Gaynor was provided with flea medication immediately and was soon doing very well with us at DunRoamin'.  She will be fine, as long as she has routine flea medication to ensure fleas do not infest her body.  Gaynor was born about September 18, 2013.  Her favourite song is, "I Will Survive!"  She is very vocal when she wants attention, and is an affectionate little girl, although we would be remiss if we did not say she has plenty of attitude!  As of June 6, 2020, she is staying with her friends at The Purrfect Cup in Fredericton.  Please come check out this place - it's amazing!  Just ask our cats!!  And our staff!  And all our friends!!   You'll love it there!

On September 13, 2020, we were happy to state that Gaynor will now live permanently as the newest friend of a young couple in Fredericton where she rules the roost!  She still has attitude, but they love her anyway!  Or maybe a little because of it!  Congratulations, Gaynor!

"Nate" and "Nico" came to DunRoamin' with their mom and five siblings on June 25, 2020 from the NB SPCA.  They were born on June 11, 2020.  Both are very cute, energetic, loving and affectionate little boys who were so anxious to start their new life together.  They love each other and are so happy to know they will always be together.

Nate and his siblings were fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, spayed/neutered, treated for parasites and ready to go to their new homes by the middle of September.  They could hardly wait, and neither could their new families!

On September 12, 2020, Nate and Nico were so very excited to meet their new family!  They all fell head over heels for each other and now live together in Saint John, NB.  Thanks to their new family for keeping them together - they are so very fortunate!  Please send lots of photos - their friends and foster family will miss them dearly!  Congratulations to all!

"Joyce" came to DunRoamin' on January 2, 2020.  She is a beautiful and talkative little tabby who loves people and loves to be social - especially at meal time.

Joyce had a urinary tract infection which was treated and she's since doing very well - all it took was a tiny bit of medical assistance!  She was happy to be waited on by her DunRoamin' staff and hoped to join a family who will love her forever!  She was slightly overweight and was therefore prescribed a diet which she was not very happy about following, but most of us wouldn't be!  She loves her treats and she will do fine in a home where she can gets lots of attention (which she loves!), lots of exercise running up and down hallways, jumping onto window sills to watch birds and squirrels and jumping onto beds to spend her nights with her favourite people.  Joyce was born about January 2, 2016 and is a very nice little girl who can't wait for a loving home.  Please come meet her.

On August 8, 2020, Joyce went to visit her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in  Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she hoped to meet that special person who would invite her to share their life forever.  And . . .

That's exactly what happened!  On September 12, 2020, Joyce was adopted by a young lady who had met her a couple of weeks previously and had visited several times.  They were a perfect match for each other, and are now officially a family!  Joyce would like to thank her new family for adopting her, and of course she is SO grateful to her friends at The Purrfect Cup who have been so nice to her while she stayed with them.  Thank you to Korey, Shona and Staff - you're   wonderful!

"Thaddeus" came to us on on July 27, 2020, when he was found on the road in Bath when a caring lady was driving to work.  He was awake, but unresponsive to stimuli and she knew he needed immediate medical assistance - there was only one place to go! 

Thaddeus was examined at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and found to have a poor body condition, some dental issues, was missing hair on the back of his neck, had some swelling on the right side of his face and a hemorrhage in his right eye as well as some additional head trauma.  Thaddeus was not yet neutered.  It appears that he may have been struck by a vehicle and was unable to get off the road.  He was very fortunate to have been picked up by the caring woman who rescued him.  Thaddeus was born about July 27, 2016.

Thaddeus improved very quickly and well thanks to the medical care he received.  He was soon eating and responding well and with lots of rest and medical attention, he was soon well and able to join a family who will love and care for him for the rest of his life.   He is a very loving and grateful little boy!

On September 9, 2020, Thaddeus was SO happy to learn that he had been accepted into the home of a great family in Woodstock who has three DunRoamin' cats and a DunRoamin' dog - hi, Jazz, Kilo, Hermione and Corro!!  Congratulations on your new family member!  Thaddeus will be the newest best friend of a young boy who loves animals - you're a lucky little boy, Thaddeus!

"Swithin" came to DunRoamin' on August 13, 2020 from Oakland along with two other kittens.  She was born about June 13, 2020 and was emaciated, dehydrated, had fleas, ear mites and required her right eye to be removed due to the severity of the injury caused by her upper respiratory infection. 

Swithin was prescribed pain medication, antibiotics, eye medication, sub-cutaneous fluids and parasite control.  She was soon feeling so much better, thanks to the medical care she received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.

Swithin seems to need another kitten at all times - she sleeps, plays, cuddles with and follows them everywhere.  She was born about June 20, 2020, so was only about eight weeks old when she came to us.  She was tiny but has gained health, put on weight and will be spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and then be ready, willing and eager for a home.

On September 8, 2020, Swithin met a young couple from Fredericton and she very easily won their cat-loving hearts!  Swithin will live her life with him and Bob, her new feline friend who is similar in age, looks very much like her and is also missing an eye.  They will be best friends forever!  Congratulations, Swithin, to both you and your new family!

"Abraham" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 cats brought to us by the NB SPCA.  He was emaciated, dehydrated, his coat was greasy, he was matted and covered in filth, his ears were red, raw and ulcerated, he was leaking diarrhea, had ear mites, half his tail had no hair and he had a silver substance on his ears and hind legs.  He was not in good shape.

Abraham was met by his favourite new vet friend who worked very hard to bring him back to health.  Abraham is progressing slowing, but his personality is very evident:  he is very loving, very appreciative and very happy to have new friends who love and care for him.  He's looking forward to being well enough to have a permanent family that will provide him with the life he has always deserved.  Abraham was born about June 25, 2019, so was only a year old.  He recently was diagnosed with diabetes and must now take insulin twice daily.

On September 8, 2020, Abraham was excited to learn that he will now live out the rest of his life with his foster parents who have just made him a permanent family member.  He now lives happily in Ashland where he will be spoiled at least as much as he deserves.  Congratulations, Abraham - you certainly deserve a wonderful family after all you've been through.  We are so grateful that you have one to take care of you for the rest of your life.

"Scotia" and her brother Rabb returned to DunRoamin' on April 14, 2020.  Scotia had showed signs of dizziness and had vomited, so both were returned to DunRoamin' as their adopters had found their busy-ness as kittens a bit too much for their household.

Scotia and Rabb had originally come to us on November 16, 2019 from Centreville where they had been born into a colony of cats that continued to grow unchecked in size.  We have been trying to assist in spaying and neutering this colony for quite some time, but have been only partially successful on our own - we need community help!

Scotia was originally thought to have a polyp in her ear or a torn ear drum, but as of May 20, 2020, her ear is perfectly fine.!   

Scotia was born about September 29, 2019.  She is friendly, loving, affectionate and can't wait to move into a home where she can run, play, wrestle and enjoy life!  She is spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for parasites and her vaccines are up to date as of September 2020. She is GORGEOUS and can't wait for a home of her very own.  She is currently getting over a little diarrhea and is grateful to have a foster home and family to care for her while she recovers.

On August 31, 2020, we were elated to learn that her foster family could not bear the thought of giving her up.  She now lives permanently in Hartland with her officially-permanent family.  Congratulations to all - you're all very lucky to have each other!

"Rhea" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 sick or injured strays who were all brought by the NB SPCA for medical help.  Rhea had ear mites, was lactating, had diarrhea and infection around her anus, as well as a heart murmur.  This murmur has not changed since her arrival so may never be an issue.  Annual exams will reveal if there will be a change, but she is a perfectly happy, healthy little girl now, thanks to her new friends and the medical assistance she received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  Rhea was born about January 1, 2019.

Rhea is a very social little girl.  She loves all people, is not at all disturbed by any of the dogs she has met and is happy to carry on a conversation with anyone who is interested.  She will be spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and anxious to go to a loving home to start a whole new life very soon.  On July 18, 2020, she and her friend Petra went to stay with our friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing.  Come visit and say hello!

On August 29, 2020, Rhea was excited and happy to be adopted by a young newly-wed couple from Fredericton.  They had fallen in love earlier (both the humans and Rhea!) and all wanted to be part of this newly-formed family.  Congratulations to everyone!

"Sprout" came to DunRoamin' on June 6, 2020.  She was related to Keon, Kibble and Karson who have already been adopted.  She was born about May 1, 2020.  Sprout is independent.  She likes to be in the same room as people and to sleep next to them, but she is not really a snuggly lap cat.  She does not enjoy being picked up, but she absolutely loves to play and run and be goofy.  She does not mind her kennel at all.  She thanks her foster family for taking such good care of her for so long - she is a very lucky little girl.

On August 28, 2020, Sprout was adopted by a family in Charleston where she will fit in perfectly with the two existing pets who will now be part of her family forever.  Sprout is grateful for a loving and permanent home and thanks her foster family for making this happen for her.  Congratulations to all!

"Bash" came to us on the evening of June 14, 2020 from Centreville where he was yet another kitten who was born into a colony with no one to care for him.  Sadly, two other kittens had passed away at the same location and Bash was cold, had fleas and was very scared.  He was born about May 20, 2020, so was not even a month old yet - way too young to be on his own.  This location is known for unowned stray cats who continue to grow in numbers despite our efforts to help, and we hope people will dedicate themselves to helping these little creatures.

Bash was placed in the care of a vet tech.  He was much too young to be away from his mother and was not interested in eating, so had to be bottle fed to ensure he received the nutrition and hydration he would normally get from his mom.  Thanks for taking care of him, Taylor!

Bash was diagnosed as having Cerebellar Hyperplasia - a condition in which the part of the brain which controls balance and co-ordination has not fully developed.  For this reason, Bash sometimes appears "drunk," especially when he is excited.  He is otherwise a normal kitten who loves to run, play, cuddle and play with his toy springs. 

On August 23, 2020, Bash was adopted by a young lady from Munia who had fallen in love with him on Day One.  He will now live there happily ever after and very well loved.  Congratulations, Bash!

"Teller" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of  22 brought to us through the NB SPCA.  Teller was very thin, dehydrated and had a yellow discharge coming from his eyes indicating infection.   He was immediately diagnosed and medicated by his favourite new vet friend.  Teller was born about April 20, 2020.

He is a very sweet little guy who is happy to know that he will have a permanent and loving home as soon as he is fully vaccinated, neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He can't wait!!

On August 10, 2020, Teller was adopted by a young lady with whom he will live in Wolfville, NS, where he will have the company of Mathis (see below) - one of his very best friends from Day 1!  Congratulations on your new home and family!!  Send lots of photos!!

"Mathis" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of  22 brought to us through the NB SPCA.   He was very thin, moderately lethargic, dehydated, had ropey intestins, sunken eyes, a low body temperature and discharge from his eyes.  Mathis was born about April 22, 2020.  He was very fortunate to be fostered by a vet tech to ensure he received the medical care he required around the clock until he was well enough to come to us.

Mathis enjoyed the company of several kitten friends while he awaited his final vaccines, FIV and FeLV test and neuter.  He is very playful, happy, loving and affectionate.  He hopes to have a new home soon, and he hopes for a feline playmate - he's never been alone and he doesn't really like to be.  He needs friends and family - don't we all?

On August 10, 2020, Mathis was adopted by a young lady who was in love at first sight.  He will be her new best friend and he will have the company of Teller (see above) - they have been together since Day 1 and are happy to remain so.  They'll each have a best-feline friend!  Congratulations!!

"Montoya" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 cats brought to us by the NB SPCA.   Montoya was underweight, slightly dehydrated, had ear mites and an infectious discharge from his eyes.  Montoya was born about April 1, 2020.

Montoya received all medical attention he required and is now doing purrfectly well.  He hopes for a new home soon, either with one of his kitten friends or he would like to go to a home that already has another cat to play with and keep him company.  These little ones are all happy to have friends to play with and to sleep in a kitten pile with lots of body heat and soft heartbeats!

On July 22, 2020, Montoya met a young lady from Fredericton and it was love at first sight - for both of them!!  Montoya left for his new home on August 9, 2020, where he is now the best friend of Julian, a beautiful cat who has been waiting for someone to play with!  And Montoya is that boy!  They are doing very well together and we're so glad for everyone - feline and human alike!  Send LOTS of photos!!  Congratulations!

"Petra" came to us on June 25, 2020, one of 22 who were brought by the NB SPCA.  Petra had moderate gingivitis, had part of a molar missing, had ear mites, very dirty ears, red  scaly skin and she was lactating - perhaps was the mom of some of the kittens who also arrived on this date.  She was moderately skinny as well and was happy to plough into lots of good food.  Petra may need some teeth extracted in a couple of years (the malformed tooth and some premolars and lower canines), so her potential adopter will need to keep this in mind for the future, and her annual exams will determine the requirement as necessary.

Petra is a beautiful little girl who was born about June 1, 2018.  She is loving, affectionate and vocal when she wants attention, which she loves!  She is hoping for a new home where she will be loved forever!  On July 18, 2020, she and her friend Rhea went to stay with their friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Come visit and say hello!  You'll love this cafe and you can share your treats with lots of cats, too!

On August 8, 2020, Petra was elated to learn that she had been invited to join a family in New Canaan which includes another cat and a young human who is already very much in love with her!  Congratulations, Petra!  Send lots of photos!!

"Bangor" and his three siblings were found in a cat carrier outside our door when we opened on June 29, 2020.  They had been left there about 6:30 am, so had been all by themselves for about two hours in the cool morning, but appeared to be okay.  They were assessed by a vet as soon as possible and found to be in decent health.  They had been born about May 15, 2020.

It is our hope that their mother is being cared for and that she will be spayed so that more kittens are not born into a world for whom there are already not enough homes and that this type of event does not occur again and again and again.  PLEASE spay and neuter your pets!

Bangor was be neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, fully vaccinated and treated for all parasites.   He was very grateful to be fostered by a DunRoamin' staff member where he learned to run, play, purr and be grateful for new friends and a chance for a happy, healthy life.

On August 3, 2020, Bangor was excited to leave for his new home where he'll be a friend for two other pets.  Congratulations, Bangor, send photos so we can watch you grow up!  Your foster father will miss you terribly!!

"Inigo" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 cats brought to us by the NB SPCA.  Inigo was underweight, had feces caked on his back end under which the skin was thick, raw and irritated. He was dehydrated and had ear mites.  Inigo had been born about April 8, 2020.

Inigo is a beautiful little boy who was soon playful and grateful to be warm, safe, fed and have all the medical attention he required.  He is very happy to know that he had been chosen to join a family along with Abigail (see below). 

On August 3, 2020, he and his best friend Abigail (see below) were adopted by a very nice couple in Red Bridge where they will live happily ever after!  Congratulations, Inigo!  Send lots of photos!!

"Abigail" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 brought to us by the NB SPCA.  Abigail was born about April 22, 2020, along with several others, more examples of unwanted kittens born to unwanted cats.  She was moderately thin, dehydrated, had ear mites, was moderately lethargic and had purulent discharge around her vulva.  She was immediately diagnosed and medicated by her new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  As too many of these cats and kittens were not healthy, they became wards of DunRoamin' to help them become healthy and strong little ones.

Abigail is a sweet little girl who loves people, loves her siblings and friends and loves to sleep in cat piles (when she's not playing, jumping, running and climbing, now that she's received the medical care she needed).

Abigail is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She's been having a great time playing and being socialized with several other kittens who enjoy her company.  Not having had a mom, they are learning many new kitten things together!

On August 3, 2020, she and her best friend Inigo (see above) were adopted by a family in Red Bridge.  They quickly settled in and are so grateful to have a warm, safe and loving home.  Thanks to their new family for keeping them together!  Congratulations, Abigail!!

"Fezzik" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 cats brought to us by the NB SPCA.  Fezzik was underweight, dehydrated, had a yellow ocular discharge, conjunctivitis and ear mites.

Fezzik is a sweet little boy who loves to play, wrestle, climb, jump, roll and anything else he can think of, as long as he has friends to do it with!  His health conditions have been rectified and he feels wonderful.  As soon as his vaccines are up to date, he is fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for parasites, he will be anxious to go to his new home - with his friend Teller.  We are so happy they get to stay together!

On August 2, 2020, Fezzik was SO excited to go to his new home in Lakeville where he'll live happily with two other DunRoamin' cats (Hi, Lemur!  Hi, Mayella!!), and guess what??  Penn is going with him!  Congratulations to everyone!  Thanks for adding two more DunRoamin' cats to a wonderful family!!

"Penn" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of  22 brought to us through the NB SPCA.  Penn was born about April 22, 2020, along with a half dozen siblings, another example of unwanted kittens born to unwanted cats.  She was thin, dehydrated, had ear mites, was lethargic and her eyes were red and displayed a discharge from infection.  She was immediately diagnosed and medicated by her new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  As too many of these cats and kittens were not healthy, they became wards of DunRoamin' to help them become healthy and strong little ones.

"Biloxi" and her three siblings Burton, Bryton and Bangor were found in a cat carrier outside our door when we opened on June 29, 2020.  They had been left there about 6:30 am, so had been all by themselves for about two hours in the cool morning, but appeared to be okay.  They were assessed by a vet as soon as possible and found to be in decent health.  They had been born about May 15, 2020.

It is our hope that their mother is being cared for and that she will be spayed so that more kittens are not born into a world for whom there are already not enough homes and that this type of event does not occur again and again.

On August 2, 2020, Biloxi was excited to leave for her new life, home and family in Tracey Mills where she'll have the best life ever!  And to make things even more wonderful, her brother Burton (see below) got to to also!!  Congratulations to all!  Please send lots of photos!!

On August 2, 2020, Burton was elated to leave for his new home in Tracey Mills where he'll be one of two new additions (see Biloxi, above!) to this wonderful family.  Thank you SO much for keeping these two little sweethearts together!  Congratulations!!

On August 1, 2020, Bryton went to join her new family in Fredericton who has been waiting so patiently for this beautiful girl to join them.  She will be a new sister for her feline sister, Luna!  Congratulations, Bryton!  Send lots of photos so your foster families can watch you grow up!

"Summit" came to DunRoamin' from the Bristol area on June 4, 2020.  He was part of a colony of cats that is being cared for by a kind and compassionate family.  Unfortunately, Summit was not doing well so he came to us for help. 

Summit had a severe care of upper respiratory infection and his eyes were sealed shut with infection when he arrived.  He was very hungry and ploughed into food.  He was prescribed medication by the Florenceville Veterinary Clinc and he's now fine.  Thanks to the wonderful vet tech who fostered him to ensure he had the round-the-clock medical care he requires.  You're awesome, Chloe!  And Summit is grateful for his foster home and family in Bath - he'll miss you all!

This is yet another reminder of what can happen when pets are not spayed or neutered to ensure that more babies are not born into a world that does not have homes for the ones already present.  Too many little ones suffer.  Thanks to all who donate to ensure these babies get the medical help they need to become healthy, loving, grateful family members.

On July 27, 2020, Summit was so excited to meet his new family - a young couple from Fredericton who immediately fell head over heals when they met him - and vice versa!  Please send lots of photos - we'll all miss you!!

"Enzo"came to us on May 29, 2020 from the Connell area of Florenceville.  He was born about April 23, 2020, so was only about five weeks old.  He and his five siblings had been found alone on a dirt road and we are not at sure what had happened to their mom, but it appeared she had not been with them for a while.

Enzo was emaciated, dehydrated, had conjunctivitis, ocular discharge, and was very happy to be warm, safe and have plenty of canned and dry kitten food - they are already eating on their own!  All kittens are now on antibiotics to help them overcome their medical issues.

Enzo lived in a foster home with four of his siblings where they were observed and cared for around the clock. They are all thriving, loving, playful little furballs and we thank his human and feline foster family for the love, care, attention and support they provide to all of DunRoamin' on a daily basis!

On July 25, 2020, Enzo went to live with his new family along with his sister, Erica (see below) in Fredericton.  We are so happy that they get to stay together - they are very fortunate!  Congratulations to all!  Please write soon and send lots of photos.

"Quimby" came to DunRoamin' on March 30, 2020 from the Plaster Rock area where he was blocked (urine could not leave his body due to blockage).  He was in critical condition.  Quimby was born about March 30, 2017.

His new vet went to work to help him immediately.  Quimby is doing well and will require a diet of food that will ensure his body does not make crystals that might block his urine from leaving his body again.  We have had dozens of cats who eat Royal Canin Urinary S/O food and, once on this diet, have never had a single recurrence.  You're gonna be fine, Quimby! 

As of April 12, 2020, he is much more comfortable.  He was initially timid, but quickly realized that the hand near him is friendly and reacts happily to be patted and loved.  On April 15, 2020, Quimby left vet care and moved in with our other S/O boys and he is doing perfectly well.  The moment a hand is near him, he's patting himself with it!  He is a beautiful loving little boy.  As long as he eats a diet of Royal Canin S/O food only, he will be fine!   Quimby also takes a joint supplement daily, but it is very inexpensive and he loves it! 

On July 23, 2020, Quimby met a very nice lady from Fredericton who had seen him on our website and wanted to meet him.  It was love at first sight and he now lives happily with her, spoiled beyond his wildest dreams!  Thanks for giving this little boy a loving home and all the care he'll ever need, Kate!  He's very grateful to have you!!

"Cliff" came to DunRoamin' on June 27, 2020, from Upper Brighton where he had been observed being thrown out the window of a moving car several days earlier.  His rescuers were unable to care for him.

Cliff was examined at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and the following was learned:  he had an upper respiratory infection, ear mites and mild-to-moderate stomatitis - we'll have to keep an eye on his mouth to see if he will require a dental in the future.

Cliff was born about June 27, 2019 and is a very nice boy.  He is looking forward to getting better really soon.  He is now neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and ready to go to a loving home.  He is showing his appreciation for all he has received by being one of the most affectionate cats we know, and we know a lot of them!  He is truly grateful for the love and care he is receiving and thanks us at every single opportunity with purrs, head butts and any other way he can express himself!

On July 22, 2020, Cliff was excited to leave for his new home in Hay Settlement where he'll be a new sibling for another DunRoamin' cat, Diaz, who is living the wonderful life he had always dreamed!  He and Cliff will be best buddies and they'll both take excellent care of their humans!  Congratulations to all!

"Asia" originally came to us from Woodstock on April 16, 2016 as a baby who was not eating and had no mother to care for her.  She was well cared for and was adopted in June, 2016.  She was born about March 26, 2016.

Asia was returned to us on May 7, 2020, as her adopter could no longer care for her.  Asia had tartar on her teeth, had fecal balls and matts on her rear end which required her to be shaved, she had severe ear mites and her vaccines were not current.  All these things have been addressed and she is doing very well.  She is a gorgeous, loving little girl who deserves the best. 

On June 20, 2020, Asia went to stay with friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB.  Stop in and visit!  The coffee is fantastic and the staff is amazing!  And the cats will love to see you!!  Asia loved it here, especially since she was treated like the queen she believes herself to be!  She ruled the cafe with an iron paw until . . .

. . . July 18, 2020, when she was adopted by a young couple from Fredericton.  She will be an only cat, which has been her wish, so that she can get ALL the attention for herself and enjoy the riches of two human servants.  Congratulations, Asia!  Send lots of photos - we'll all miss you and will be so happy to see you in your wonderful new life!  Asia and DunRoamin' thank the Purrfect Cup for all their care and friendship.  You're amazing!!

"Dorothy" came to us on August 7, 2019 from the Hartland area.  She had a large number of fleas, wasted muscle mass, poor dental condition and was dehydrated.  She had also been declawed, but still had one nail remaining. 

Dorothy is a beautiful little senior cat who was born about August 7, 2008.  Dorothy requires thyroid medication and is doing very well.  She is a beautiful, loving senior cat who hopes to be welcomed into a warm and loving home where she can languish comfortably in her remaining senior years.  She is currently fostered by a very kind and loving young man in Greenfield where she has both canine and feline foster siblings and she rules the roost!  And she's spoiled beyond her dreams! 

On July 12, 2020, Dorothy met a lady from Dartmouth, NS, who fell in love with her. Dorothy will now be a sibling for a 15-year-old cat and two dogs whom she will love as well.  Thank you so much to your new family - this is your dream!!  Send lots of photos - we will all miss you, especially your foster father!

"Booker" came to DunRoamin' on July 2, 2020, from Woodstock where he was found hanging around outside a home.  He had already been neutered and had dirt and debris in his ears, so may have been outdoors for a while.  Booker requires some dental work as he has tartar, gingivitis and a broken tooth - that must hurt!   Booker was born about June 2, 2010 and is blind.  His rescuers attempted to find his home and family but were unsuccessful. 

Booker will receive the dental care he requires, as well as all vaccines and he will be tested for FIV and FeLV.   He is a beautiful, affectionate and happy little boy who is not at all upset about not being able to see - he already has many friends who help him when he needs it and he is very quick to learn his way around.  He would love to have a kind, quiet, safe and loving retirement home with a family who would spoil him in a manner that he (and we!) believe he deserves!  Booker has already had some teeth removed and he will undergo dental surgery again near the end of July.  Then he'd love to meet someone who will love and care for him forever. 

On July 11, 2020, Booker's dream came true!  He was introduced to two very kind and generous cat people from New Maryland who had welcomed our Lois (who was also blind) in their lives, and Lois was extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful family.  Lois is no longer with us, and we all miss her terribly.  Their home is perfect for another blind cat - actually, two blind cats, because Sharon (see below) was also adopted!  Thank you so much for giving two more cats the love and life they deserve!  Congratulations to all!!

"Sharon" came to DunRoamin' on January 13, 2020.  She was born about January 13, 2010, so was about ten years old.   Sharon was not yet spayed and was very timid.  She is functionally blind and required patience and love to ensure she could become comfortable and secure in a new setting.  She is choosy about her food, but is content to have a couch and a nice cardboard box to curl up in.  She is eating Hill's I/D dry food but she would much rather have canned food - anything will do!

Sharon can have a bit of an attitude sometimes, but for the most part is very happy to be in the same room and have people company.  She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV.  She would prefer a quiet  home and would be happy to have a feline friend or two for company as well.  She is very comfortable finding her way around her current home - perhaps she sees enough light and shadows to find her way easily.  It is a true honour to find her curled up happily by one of her humans - until she decides she'd prefer her favourite cardboard box for a bit!!

Sharon has come a long way.  She greets us at the door, sometimes sits happily with us, sometimes goes off in a corner by herself, but she is happy to have love, warmth, family, a nice bed and a full bowl of food.  Who could ask for more??

On July 11, 2020, Sharon was so pleased to learn that she had been invited to join a wonderful family in New Maryland, where she'll be a new friend for DunRoamin's Derp and four other cats whom she will love.  She will now join the family who had our Lois (who was also blind) in their lives, and Lois was extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful family. Lois is no longer with us, and we all miss her terribly.  We were also happy to learn that Booker is going too (see above)!!  These two blind cats will have no fear or worries for the rest of their lives!  Congratulations!  Thanks, Kyla and Remi!!

"Dragon" came to us on May 20, 2020 from Woodstock where he was a stray who was seen to not be doing well.  He was badly matted, skittish and hungry.  He was also hanging around a high-traffic area which put his life in jeopardy.  Fortunately, a very kind couple noticed his distress and brought him for help.

Dragon was born about May 19, 2018.  He was prescribed medication for conjunctivitis, had ear mites and his gums had started to recede, so he may need dental work in the future, but not for a while.  He is now neutered and has begun his vaccine protocol. 

Dragon is currently living with his rescuers who endeavour to teach him that he is safe and will now have a good life.  We hoped he would become social enough to be a pet, but it seems he might prefer to live a more happy life as a barn cat - he has come a long way, but is still not comfortable in a home.

On July 9, 2020, Dragon and all of his friends were elated to learn that a very nice couple from Jackson Falls had seen his photo, read his story and thought they might be able to offer him a nice home.  Dragon now lives in the Dragon Den where he rules the horses and spends his days playing in the barn and watching squirrels run in the yard.  And he has a great view of the water!  He is very grateful to be warm, safe, fed and have family.  Thanks very much for changing his life!

"Hala" originally came to us on August 9, 2019 from Hartland.  She was skinny, dehydrated, anemic and required dental care.  She was adopted on February 18, 2020 but was returned to us on May 7, 2020 as her adopter was moving and could no longer provide care for her.  Hala was born about August 9, 2012.

Hala was under medical care provided by the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic as she had an upper respiratory infection, had lost a significant amount of weight and had ear mites.  All these issues were treated and was soon doing much better.  Her upper respiratory infection wanted to hang on, but she's beating it!!

Hala is a beautiful and loving little girl who deserves a wonderful home, and that's just what she is getting!  She will leave as soon as she is 100% - very soon!

On June 30, 2020, Hala was pleased as punch to have her new family arrive to take her home.  She may have a bit of a flare-up of her upper respiratory when she moves, but she is doing very well and can't wait to have a quiet, loving home.   Her family, which includes a young man who has fallen very much in love with her, is eager to start their life together.  You couldn't have become more fortunate, Hala!  Congratulations!  Write often, send lots of photos!!

"Joxer" came to DunRoamin' on June 14, 2020.  Born about June 11, 2018, he had what appeared to be an abscessed bite injury on his front leg which required medical care.  Joxer is neutered and tested for FIV and FeLV and fully vaccinated.  And his leg is now just fine!  It's a wonder what a little medical care and love can do!

Joxer is an amazingly affectionate little boy.  He loves people, other cats, food, toys - you name it, he loves it!  And he has won the heart of each person he has met!  He has a wonderful purr and he's not afraid to use it!

Joxer will be ready for a home in early July and looks forward to joining his new family which includes former DunRoamin' stray, Beaumont, and they even look alike!  Yahoo!  They're friends already!

On June 30, 2020, Joxer's family arrived to take him home.  He now lives happily ever after and is as loved and spoiled as Beaumont - and that's a LOT!  Congratulations, Joxer, you've hit the jackpot with your new family.  Don't forget to stay in touch!

"Bridget" and "Stormi" were two of seven tiny baby kittens who came to DunRoamin' from Dumfries, NB on April 15, 2020.  They had been found on April 11, 2020 on the side of the road in an area with no homes or buildings.  Approximately 10 other cats several months older had also been found.  Almost all were friendly and their rescuers assumed someone had dumped them as the location was remote and most cats had obviously been around people before.  These seven babies, Bridget, Talia, Claire, Adam, Kelby, Kiren and Stormi were born approximately April 8, 2020.

Their rescuers went to the area to catch and help as many as possible.  These seven little ones apparently had no mother so had to be fed by syringe and stimulated to pee and poop every two to three hours around the clock to ensure they survived.  Their rescuers were unable to take on the expense or requirements for these little ones, so they came to us.

All seven babies were fed KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) by their foster mother every few hours around the clock.  Their constipation was addressed and they were soon all eating, growing well and starting to gain weight.  We are sad to report that Little Adam, who was the smallest of the litter, left us on the early afternoon of April 17, 2020, despite all medical assistance administered.  He will be missed.  You can read about him on our Pet Memorials page.

Bridget and Stormi are happy to know that when they are old enough, they will be adopted together into a wonderful family in Nackawic, NB.  They'll leave on Canada Day!  Yahoooo!!  Congratulations

And, as promised, their new family arrived to collect them on July 1, 2020!  We are so pleased that these two little ones will get to stay together.  We thank their new family for adopting them, for their love and support and for all they do for those who require some extra love and support - be they two-, three- or four-legged!  Congratulations on your new family additions.  Thank you SO much!!

"Kibble" and his brothers Keon and Karson came to us on June 5, 2020 from Arthurette.  They had been born about May 1, 2020, so were only about five weeks old.  All kittens had serious conjunctivitis and had no other option for life.  Little Kibble was in the best shape of the three brothers, but was very thin and both eyes were infected.  He was prescribed antibiotics, eye drops and subcutaneous fluids.  Keon had to be fed by syringe by his foster parent - thank you so much for taking such great care of them!

Thanks to a generous FVC staff member, all three little ones had round-the-clock medical care in their foster home.  Thanks, Meaghan!  They were then fostered by DunRoamin' staff where they enjoyed each other immensely!  We are sad to report that, despite all efforts, little Karson was unable to survive.  Please read about him on our Pet Memorials page.  This is yet another reminder to spay and neuter your pets!  Please help us make certain that this doesn't continue to happen.  Please donate to our D-SNAP program which helps to spay and neuter low-income or colony cats.  Your assistance in helping these little ones is greatly appreciated.

On June 27, 2020, Kibble was introduced to a very nice couple from Saint John and that is the end of the story, because they will now live happily ever after!  And to make it even better, Kibble's brother Keon got to go along, too, so they get to stay together!  Thank you so much for adopting them both and thank you so much for your ongoing support.  We are SO grateful!!  Congratulations!!  Send lots of photos!  Your foster parents will miss you!!

"Kelby" and his sister Claire (see below) were two of seven tiny baby kittens who came to DunRoamin' from Dumfries, NB on April 15, 2020.  They had been found on April 11, 2020, on the side of the road in an area with no homes or buildings.  Approximately 10 other cats several months older had also been found.  Almost all were friendly and their rescuers assumed someone had dumped them as the location was remote and most cats were social, obviously having been around people before.  These seven babies, Bridget, Talia, Claire, Adam, Kelby, Kiren and Stormi were born approximately April 8, 2020.

Their rescuers went to the area to catch and help as many as possible.  These seven little ones apparently had no mother so had to bed fed by syringe and stimulated to pee and poop every two to three hours around the clock to ensure they survived.  Their rescuers were unable to take on the expense or requirements for these little ones, so they came to us.

All seven babies were fed KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) by their foster mother every few hours around the clock.  Their constipation was addressed and they were soon all eating, growing well and starting to gain weight.  We are sad to report that Little Adam, who was the smallest of the litter, left us on the early afternoon of April 17, 2020, despite all medical assistance received.  He will be missed.  You can read about him on our Pet Memorials page.

Kelby was placed under the professional care of a vet tech as he was diagnosed with pneumonia.  Our thanks to the vet tech who so generously took on his care to make sure he had the best chance possible.  He is now happy, healthy and waiting for a home!

Claire is a sweet little girl who loves to sleep in a kitten pile!   She loves her siblings and is well loved by all.

"Stinkerbelle" came to us on March 4, 2020 from Perth-Andover where she had been pooping outside the box and her owner no longer wanted her.  She is a beautiful long-haired pewter-and-grey kitty who is very loving and attentive.   She was born about August 2, 2010. 

Stinkerbelle is doing well.  She is up to date on her vaccines as of June 2020 and is anxious to have a new home where she'll be warm, safe and loved.  She was on a bit of medication and is now using her litter box consistently, so she's ready to meet her new family.  She would like to be in a home where she can get all the human attention, although she will consider sharing that with one or two other cats!  On May 11, 2020, Stinkerbelle went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup.  Come meet her and enjoy a great cup of coffee!  We are very grateful to Korey, Shona and the staff of The Purrfect Cup for giving them such a great place to stay and to meet new people!

On June 20, 2020, Stinkerbelle was so happy to be adopted by a very nice young man from Fredericton.  She now lives happily with him!  Please send lots of photos, Stinkerbelle!  We'll all miss you!

"Carina" came to us on February 6, 2020, from the SPCA.  She was thin, was not interested in eating, had frostbite and enlarged lymph nodes which have since been treated and she's fine!  She was born about January 25, 2015.  She was initially a bit shy but is a beautiful little girl who loves people once she gets to know them.

Carina was treated for her medical problems and is now perfectly fine.  She is fully vaccinated and ready for a home.  She loves other cats and lots of attention.  She loves to be brushed and will be the perfect companion for anyone!  She'd be happiest in a home with other cats so she has someone to play and cuddle with but she loves human cuddling too!  She stayed with friends in Coldstream until June 6, 2020, when she went to visit friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing.  She loves it there!  So will you!  Please drop in and check it out!

On June 20, 2020, Carina was adopted by a family in Fredericton where she has a new young best human friend who loves her terribly - and vice versa!  Congratulations, Carina!  Please send us lots of photos!

"Rabb" and his sister Scotia returned to DunRoamin' on April 14, 2020.  Scotia had showed signs of dizziness and had vomited, so both were returned to DunRoamin' as their adopters had found their busy-ness as kittens a bit too much for their household.

Scotia and Rabb had originally come to us on November 16, 2019 from Centreville where they had been born into a colony of cats that continued to grow unchecked in size.  We have been trying to assist in spaying and neutering this colony for quite some time, but have been only partially successful on our own - we need community help!

Rabb was born about September 29, 2019, so was only about eight months old.  He is friendly, loving, affectionate and can't wait to move into a home where he can run, play, wrestle and enjoy life!  Rabb is neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for parasites and his vaccines are up to date as of September 2020.  He is a handsome little boy who enjoys the company of other cats immensely.  As of June 6, 2020, he is staying with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe where he is the life of the party!  He immediately showed his true personality that is nothing but joy, playfulness and love.  Thanks to our friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe for fostering him.  Please drop in, meet some cats and enjoy the best coffee you've had!  This place is GREAT!!

On June 20, 2020, Rabb was ecstatic to be adopted by two young gentleman to be a friend for their cat who is very similar in personality.  The got along immediately and Rabb couldn't be happier (neither could we!)  Congratulations, Rabb!  Keep sending photos!!

"Rosalita" and her sister Gretchen arrived at DunRoamin' on August 2, 2019.  They had originally come from the Edmundston area where they had been found in an empty apartment.   Fortunately, they had no extreme health problems, but no one wanted them and they were scheduled for euthanasia. 

Rosalita was born about February 1, 2019, so was only a kitten.  She was initially timid, of course, after what she'd been through, but she was soon doing so much better.  She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She is a beautiful little girl who dreams of a family to grow up in.

On October 2, 2019, Rosalita and her sister Gretchen were fostered by a very kind lady in Bath.  We are very grateful, as we are completely full at DunRoamin'.  We appreciate the help very much!

On June 13, 2020, Rosalita was excited to learn that she had been chosen to join a family in Upper Kent where she will have feline sisters with whom to interact.  Congratulations, Rosalita!  Send photos!!

"Chica" came to us on May 11, 2020 from the Woodstock area where she had been a stray who was hanging around an area where there was much vehiclular traffic and it was very unsafe for her.  She is a beautiful little tabby girl who was already spayed upon her arrival.  Numerous attempts were made to locate her family, but all failed.  She has been tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She is also now fully up to date on her vaccines.

Chica is a very friendly and loving little girl.  She enjoys cuddles, pats and almost all interaction with humans.  She is very happy and grateful to have a staff to meet her every need!  She was born about May 11, 2016.

On June 12, 2020, Chica was so very excited to meet a young family who immediately fell in love with her, and her with them!  She now owns two young children who love her and will care for her every need - that's mostly cuddling!  Congratulations, Chica!  Send lots of photos!  We can't wait to see your happy face with your two new human siblings!

"Matthew" came to us on February 28, 2019 from Belleville, NB.  He had been found hiding under a deck in extremely cold weather and he obviously needed help.  He was VERY cold, hungry and dehydrated, but he was also scared enough to bite his rescuer while being caught.

Matthew slowly became comfortable with his human caregivers.  We have no idea what he's had to go through in his young life so far, but we do know that his life has definitely changed for the better.  He is neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites - he feels SO much better.  He's starting to trust us and we will make sure that continues so that he can find a warm and loving home for the rest of his life.  He's still quite timid, but he'll get there, thanks to the love and patience of his DunRoamin' staff!

On June 9, 2020, Matthew met a young couple from Fredericton.  They have a cat now whose story and personality matched Matthew's, and they were very eager to give him a home and make him as comfortable as their cat had become.  Matthew was attracted to them instantly and within a short period of time was accepting food from them and playing with them.  This is wonderful, Matthew!  Some things are meant to be, and this is one of them!  Congratulations to you and your new family!  Send LOTS of photos - we will all miss you!!

"Chicory" returned to DunRoamin' on February 20, 2019 from Plaster Rock where he had been adopted in 2012.  Unfortunately, his owner had to move into a special care home and could no longer care for him or his friend, Chiffon, so they both came back to us to find a new home.

Chicory is a beautiful boy.  He is somewhat overweight and is therefore on a diet, but he's doing very well.  He's not overly interested in food, so he'll lose weight very soon and be 100% healthy in no time.  He's ready to go to a home now, as long as his new family will attend to his diet.

Chicory is a very sweet little boy.  He was born about July 25, 2010 and is very loving and affectionate.  His greatest wish is to be invited to be a family member in another loving home once again.  He was fostered by a very nice lady in Bath who is an ardent cat lover and support - we are SO grateful that they can spend time with you.  You make a huge difference!  Thank you!

On June 7, 2020, Chicory was invited to be the best friend of a lady who lives in Bath.  They will enjoy each other's company, have the best of attention and live happily ever after!  Congratulations, Chicory!!

"Thyme" was returned to DunRoamin' on October 15, 2019.  She originally came to DunRoamin' on February 12, 2019 from Bath where she was a stray.  She was adopted to a home in Fredericton on August 12, 2019, but it gradually became evident that she was not comfortable around small children.  She also began guarding food dishes from other cats, so we think that she might be happier now as an only cat in a home with no small children.

Thyme was born about February 11, 2018.  She is a beautiful pewter grey and will make a great friend for the home that wants only one cat.   On November 16, 2019, Thyme went to join her friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she hoped to meet her new family.  While there, she met a young military man who fell in love, and vice versa and . . .

. . . on June 6, 2020, she was officially adopted into his family.  Now known as Ghost, she is forever in his heart and she has been purrfect company, especially during this COVID-19 time of isolation - she's made all the difference, because she gets ALL the attention, ALL the time!  What could be better?  Congratulations, Ghost!  Send photos! 

"Luka" came to us on May 24, 2017 from Hartland where his owners were moving and unable to take him with them.  He was born about August 24, 2007, and has the most striking eyes!  He has a great personality and loves to have company.  He lived with us with three other cats and got along well with them.  He also had young children in his previous home, so he's familiar and loves them, too! 

On January 4, 2018, Luka was invited to be the newest foster cat of a wonderful couple in Grand Falls who had fostered Slater until he was adopted.  We'd like to thank Ashley and Tyler for their wonderful and generous support of our DunRoamin' strays.  Luka is now back at DunRoamin' and still waiting for that perfect home.   He is a very loving and sweet little boy who loves everyone and all his feline friends.  Luka is fully vaccinated, neutered and tested for FIV and FeLV, as are all DunRoamin' cats.  Luka requires a mobility supplement daily for life (don't all we older people?) which he takes with no complaints.  He hopes for a permanent home soon.  As of January 25, 2020, he is staying with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where he loves his new friends, both human and feline. This is a great place for cats and humans alike.  Come check it out!!

On June 6, 2020, we are so happy to announce that Luka was adopted by a young man from Fredericton.  They will be the best of friends and Luka will thoroughly enjoy all the attention.  Luka still requires ongoing medication for his joints, but his family is more than happy to take care of that for him.  Congratulations, Luka!  Please send lots of photos and tell us all about your new life!  We can't wait to hear!!

"Tempurrance" came to us on May 31, 2019 from Grafton where she had followed someone home the previous evening.  This person observed a large open wound on her back and realized she needed medical care she could not provide.

Tempurrance was immediately examined by her new best vet friend who determined that she had moderate tartar on her teeth and that she required parasite control.   Her wounds may be the result of an old abscess that had not healed or perhaps a form of dermatitis.  Tempurrance's date of birth is estimated at about May 31, 2018.  She was provided with medication and had to wear an E-Collar (which she did NOT enjoy!) for a bit, but she's now fine. 

As you can see in this latest photo, Tempurrance is doing very well.  She has a bit of an attitude, as do all great cats!  And, she DEFINITELY knows how beautiful she is!  The wound on her back is healed and she's anxious to join a loving family where she can remain indoors for the rest of her life where it is safe and she'll be loved and cared for forever.  As of May 18, 2020, Tempurrance is staying with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe where she is loving it!  Please come meet this lovely queen and check out the Purrfect Cup!!

On June 6, 2020, Tempurrance met a lady and her young daughter who had fallen in love with her on their visits to The Purrfect Cup.  We are so grateful to have them as friends!  Thank you for all you do for these little ones!  Tempurrance now rules her new home in Fredericton where she is STILL the Queen of Everything!  Congratulations, Tempurrance!  Send lots of photos!

"Healey" came to DunRoamin' from Saint Thomas where she had lived for about a year, but had been struck by a vehicle while outside.  Her left hind leg was badly fractured at her knee and she also had open wounds on the same leg.  We thought she may require her leg to be amputated, but that wasn't the case!  Thanks to the care she received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, she's doing great!  Healey was already spayed upon arrival.

Healey was born about October 26, 2017 and is a sweetheart.  She is loving, affectionate and thanked her vet for the care she received with a loud purr.  She is a beautiful little girl who has now received the health care she required and will be an indoor cat for the rest of her life.  As she (and thousands of others) have proved:  it's not safe for cats to be outdoors!  As with all of us who have had a broken bone, she may experience arthritis down the road, but that's a long way away, if ever!  She is just grateful to be warm, safe, pain-free and spoiled!

Healey has a small hernia on her belly, but it appears to be fine and does not require surgery, but we will keep an eye on it to ensure nothing changes.  As of January 30, 2020, she was fostered with her friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, Please drop in, say hello to the kitties and have a great cup of coffee - this place is WONDERFUL!  When The Purrfect Cup was closed due to COVID-19, Healey was so fortunate to be fostered by a Purrfect Cup employee (thanks, Brenna!) and she loved her!  It took her a couple of weeks to become comfortable with her foster sibling, but then they were fine - they just needed some time!  Healey may take a few weeks to settle in to a new environment, but once she's in, she's ALL in!

On June 6, 2020, a very nice family traveled to The Purrfect Cup from Saint John to make Healey a permanent member of their family.   She will be a friend for their current cat - thank you!!  Healey will be spoiled beyond her dreams and we are all very happy for her.  Don't forget to send photos, Healey!  We will all miss you, especially your friends at The Purrfect Cup!!

"Dunkin" came to us on April 17, 2018 from Hartford where he was a stray who had come to a home that was already caring for several cats.  Dunkin appeared injured.  Vet examination revealed that he had an abscessed injury on his left front leg and ear mites which made him scratch his ears raw.  That would hurt!    He also had bite wounds and scratches all over his body, perhaps from fighting to stay alive.  He had a fever due to the infection in his abscessed leg.  Dunkin was born about October 17, 2016.

Dunkin underwent all necessary medical treatment, including antibiotics for his injuries, and was vaccinated and neutered.  He was treated for parasites and tested negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and Feline Leukemia.  He loves to talk and will carry on long and interesting conversations!  In our environment, Dunkin appeared to be a bit stressed by so many other cats, so he might prefer to be an only cat, or perhaps have only one feline friend.  He's come a very long way since Day 1!

On September 22, 2018, Dunkin was invited to come live as a foster kitty by a young couple in Fredericton where he was spoiled rotten as an only cat while he awaited a permanent home!  During his time here he was well loved and treated like a king.  Unfortunately, the young couple had to move and were unable to take him as their new housing did not allow pets.  They will miss this little boy terribly, but . . .

. . . the good news is that on May 24, 2020, Dunkin was adopted by a relative of his foster family, so he will get to see them when they return on all their vacations!  Congratulations, Dunkin, you are a very loved member of this family and a very lucky boy.  Don't forget to write and keep sending lots of photos!

"Dunfield" came to us on June 14, 2019 from Florenceville where he had belonged to a family.   When Dunfield's urinary tract blocked, as may happen - especially in male cats - due to the way their body handles their diet, his owners chose to surrender him to us.

Dunfield was immediately easily unblocked by staff of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  He will require a prescription diet to ensure he does not block again, but we have had dozens of cats on Royal Canin Urinary S/O food and as long as they eat that food only, we have never had a recurrence.  Ever.  It really works!!

Dunfield is a beautiful boy.  He is loving, playful and affectionate.  He'd like to have a home with at least one other cat, but he is comfortable with living with four or five - that's how many friends he currently shares a room with and he is very happy to have someone with whom to play, sleep and cuddle.

On May 23, 2020, Dunfield met a very nice lady from Fredericton who had read his story, seen his picture and fallen in love.  He now lives happily in Fredericton with Imelda, another former DunRoamin' stray.  Congratulations, Dunfield!  Say hi to Imelda and enjoy your wonderful new family!  Write soon!

"Royce" came to us on February 1, 2019 from Woodstock.  He had originally blocked several days earlier and been given prescription food to ensure this didn't reoccur, but he did not want to eat that food, so he blocked again and his owners were not able to undertake his care.  Royce was unable to urinate due to the blockage, so urine had backed up into his system - very serious and very painful!  We all know how it hurts when you need to pee and can't!

Royce was accepted by DunRoamin' and was immediately examined by his new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and his medical care began in earnest.  He is now doing famously and is 100% again!  He is eating Royal Canin Urinary S/O food which will ensure he does not block again.  He must maintain this diet if he wishes to remain healthy - if he eats anything else, he may block again, and we don't want that for this beautiful boy!  Royce was born about February 1, 2015.  He is friendly, talkative and has settled into his surroundings very well.  He loves to head butt and have his head scratched and he makes new friends very quickly and easily.  

On May 23, 2020, we are pleased to report that Royce now lives in a wonderful home in Jacksonville with his new family which includes his friend Sheldon (see below).  We would like to thank this family for giving them both a wonderful home and allowing them to stay together.  Write soon, boys!  We will miss you!

"Sheldon" returned to us on June 27, 2018 from Meductic where he had been adopted previously. He had originally come to DunRoamin' as he had blocked and his owners were unable to provide medical care for him.  Sheldon was born about March 20, 2014.  While in his home, he displayed some inappropriate behaviour by urinating on furniture.  He has been doing much better since he's been back with us and we believe it is behavioural - he may do better in a home without a dog - he's really not a fan of them.  He loves to play and cuddle with other cats and gets along well with every cat he's met!  He must eat a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food due to the fact that his body may produce crystals which may block his urethra should he eat any other type of food.  As long as he eats Royal Canin Urinary food, he will be fine - we have never had a recurrence in any of the many cats we have placed on this diet!

Sheldon is a beautiful and affectionate little tabby boy.  He is loving, curious and enjoys spending as much time as possible cuddling with a human.  He'd like a home without a dog, please, and he'll do his very best to thank his new family every day for giving him the home of his dreams. 

On May 23, 2020, Sheldon's dreams came true when he was adopted by a very nice couple from Jacksonville.  They are aware of all his wonderful quirks and love him just as he is!  And guess what?  his friend Royce (see above) got to go with him!  Thank you SO much to his new family!  Congratulations, Sheldon!  Send photos!  We can't wait to hear about your new home and family!

"Pampurr" returned to us on March 11, 2019.  He originally came to us on July 3, 2018 from Marne, NB.  He had been found all alone in a driveway on Canada Day and still had his umbilical cord attached.  He was only about one day old and would never have made it alone.  He was rescued by a very nice young lady in Marne and fostered by two other very nice ladies, one in Beechwood (thanks, Sarah!) and one in Florenceville who has fostered more than 100 cats and kittens for us.  Thanks, Karen!

Pampurr had to be fed by syringe and stimulated to pee and poop every couple of hours around the clock, which was no small task for his caregiver - she didn't get much sleep, but it's what he required as he had no mom to care for him.  He had some issues but has received the best of medical care and attention.   Pampurr was most probably born on July 1, 2018 and he's very fortunate to have his DunRoamin' friends to provide for him.  He was prescribed several medications to ensure he had the very best start, but soon didn't need them any more.  He experienced some diarrhea but was eating well, purring loudly and playing endlessly.  He loved to stand on your feet, then climb up your leg!  He also liked chin rubs, head scratches and playing with your toes! 

Pampurr was adopted on December 7, 2018, but came back in March as he had trouble controlling his bowels and had frequent diarrhea.  He did not want to use the litter box, so came back to us to try to be trained to do so.  Pampurr is on a new diet of Hypo Anallergenic food and he's doing much better.  He is extremely loving and affectionate and we hope he can find a new home very soon.

On May 22, 2020, Pampurr was honoured to meet a very nice young lady who had fallen in love with his story.  When they finally met, they fell in love together.  When his new love entered the room, he immediately ran to her and jumped on her shoulders, full of purrs and headbutts.  When she placed her kennel on the floor, he jumped in, made himself comfortable and said, "Well, what's taking so long?  Let's go home!"  Pampurr will be on medication for life which his new love is happy to provide.  Congratulations, Pampurr!  It's been almost two years, but it was WELL worth the wait!  We will all miss you very much - you're a special little guy.  Write soon!

"Zelda" came to us on March 2, 2020 from a home where she had shown up as a stray.  The homeowners did their very best to care for her, but with their own eight cats, they were a bit overwhelmed.

Zelda was emaciated to the point that each rib and bone in her spine was easily felt.  She had a huge open wound on her side and another injury on her leg was very much infected.

Zelda immediately began intensive care by her new vet.   She was placed on antibiotics for infection and  received a nutritious diet to help her gain some weight.  She was soon doing well and ready for a new home now.   Her vaccines are all up to date, she tested negative for FIV and FeLV and she's ready for a family!  She stayed with her friends at The Purrfect Cup in Fredericton and enjoyed meeting lots of nice people - come visit, they're wonderful there!  You'll love the coffee, treats, staff, and of course, the cats, too!!

On May 22, 2020, Zelda was SOOO excited to leave for her new home with a very nice young lady who had fallen head over heals for her.  Zelda was happy to reciprocate and now lives in Fredericton with her new family.  Don't forget to send photos both to us and to your Purrfect Cup family, Zelda - we'll all miss you!

"Schrodinger" came to DunRoamin' from the Upper Brighton area on March 18, 2020.  He had come to an area where birds were being fed and he was hungry enough to be grateful even for a little bird seed to put in his belly.  Schrodinger was born about March 18, 2016, so was about four years old.

Examination by his new vet revealed that he had a bad case of ear mites, tartar on his back teeth, a scar on his nose and right ear and a large healing scar on his right cheek.  He also displayed a mild/intermittent heart murmur, but that may just be due to the stress and his recent lifestyle.  It's cold out there, shelter may be hard to find and bird food is not very nutritious for cats!

Schrodinger was initially a bit scared (who wouldn't be?) but with lots of human interaction, he is now doing so much better.  He is now neutered and has completed his vaccine protocol.  He tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  He has a great personality - if he doesn't want to be patted, he lets you know with a swat (no claws), but two seconds later he changes his mind and he's back for some loving!  He rotates his ears in a VERY cute way, and he has more personality than can be measured!  He will win your heart in NO time!!  On May 11, 2020, Schrodinger went to stay with our friends at The Purrfect Cup where he quickly won everyone's heart - or at least their respect!  Please stop in and say hello to the staff and cats and enjoy a treat while you're there!  They are WONDERFUL!

On May 22, 2020, Schrodinger was adopted by a very nice young man from Fredericton who is SO happy to have him as a family member.  Schrodinger will live happily ever after!  Congratulations, Schrodinger!  Send lots of pictures!   Thanks, Oliver!

"Panache" came to us on March 29, 2020, from Northampton.  She had been coming to a home for several days and they had been feeding her and had built her a shelter from the elements, but due to rental restrictions, she was not allowed to be inside.  She was friendly, so had obviously been around people, but no one in the area recognized her.  Her rescuers noticed that when she shook her head, blood came out of her ear.  Panache was born about March 30, 2019, so was only about a year old. 

Panache was introduced to Dr Rennick on March 30, 2020 and he established that she had an infected polyp in her right ear which required surgery to remove - this was done on April 1, 2020.  A biopsy was sent away to determine the exact cause of her problem.  

On April 8, we learned that Panache had a tumour in her ear which required surgery to remove her ear canal.  That surgery was performed by Dr Monteith on April 15, 2020.  Donations to help with the cost of her surgery are gratefully accepted through Canada Helps or various other methods - check out our Donate page!

Panache has had the benefit of surgery and is doing much better.  She may require a further surgery down the road and we thank all who donated to help her.  We are all grateful

On May 15, 2020, Panache was adopted by a young couple in Northampton where she will be spoiled beyond her wildest dreams.  No more pain, no more trying to survive out there on her own.  She now has family to care for her and she will do the same for them.  Congratulations, Panache - we are so happy for you!!

"Ashlyn" came to us on March 26, 2020.  She was born about June 6, 2010 and was already spayed.  She was very lean, was dehydrated and had severe dental disease which required her to have all her teeth removed.

Regardless of the pain she must have been feeling, Ashlyn is a loving and affectionate little cat who can't wait to arch her back and rub against the nearest human asking for affection.  She has undergone dental surgery to remove her infected teeth - she feels so much better!  She is anxious to be invited to spend the rest of her life with a loving family. 

On April 29, 2020, Ashlyn met a lady from Fredericton who had seen and read about her and knew that she would fit into her home perfectly.  Ashlyn confirmed that, and now lives with her two humans and one 14-year-old feline brother.  Congratulations, Ashlyn!  Send lots of photos!!

"Goose" arrived at DunRoamin' on July 27,2019 from Centreville.  He had blocked (meaning urine could not leave his body) and was in dire need of medical attention that he would not receive unless accepted by DunRoamin'.  He was not in a good state.

Goose underwent care at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where he was unblocked and prescribed a diet of Royal Canin Urinary S/O food.  As long as he eats this diet only, he will never block again - we've had dozens of cats on this diet and have had not a single recurrence. 

Goose was named after the cat who stole every scene he was in in the Marvel movie, "Captain Marvel."  Goose gets along well with other cats, but prefers to be the centre of attention.  He loves catnip, cat grass and being petted, but he'll let you know when he's had enough!  Goose was born about December 3, 2009 and looks forward to his next healthy, happy ten years! 

On April 18, 2020, Goose went to stay with friends at the Oromocto SPCA where he hopes to find a home very soon.  Thanks to Tracey and her staff for welcoming him! 

"Baskin" came to us on January 31, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  She was born about February 4,, 2017, so was about two years old.  Baskin was initially timid but has overcome that - she loves a good chin scratch!  As she had come from a colony of cats where Feline Leukemia (FeLV) was known to be present, she was segregated and retested on March 18, 2019, at which time she tested negative! 

Baskin would love a nice quiet home where she'll get plenty of attention, love and good food.  She'd be very happy if one of her friends could go with her, or if she'd have other feline friends in her new home. In March, 2020, she was fortunate to be chosen by a very nice lady and her husband to be fostered, along with her friend Ginny, in Coldstream.  During this time she has become less timid and is doing fine with the love and quiet provided by her foster parents - she even started head butting!

On April 16, 2020, Baskin was chosen as a new friend for a very nice kitty and his family so that he would have lots of company.  Baskin is already spoiled rotten in her new home, and once she acclimatizes, will show her new family all the love and gratitude she has - and that's a lot.  Thank you for giving this beautiful little girl a good home - we are all grateful for her new life.  Please send lots of photos, Baskin!!

"Furgie" originally came to us from the NB SPCA on January 31, 2019.  She was adopted on May 10, 2019, but about a month later began peeing inappropriately, so she was returned to us June 15, 2019.  Born about January 31, 2012, she is a beautiful little girl who was initially very timid, but soon learned that we're friends and want only the best for her. 

Furgie was a little overweight but is working on that.  She is happy to have a nice pat and chin scratch and would love to have a home where she can have lots of attention, preferably with another feline friend or two.  Furgie was already spayed when she arrived.  She is very proud of her beautiful tabby, orange and white colours and fully realizes how beautiful she is!  She'd love a family to show off to every single day!  She is extremely affectionate and loves to lay on your lap, be patted and just have your love and attention! 

Furgie was examined by her best vet friend and had her urine tested, but all is well with that.  We expect that Furgie is not a fan of young children, as we have had absolutely no trouble with her once she came back with us and her previous issues had all involved young children.  She enjoys adults and teenagers, but should probably not got to a home with children younger than 10 years of age.  As of March 20, 2020, she had lost a full pound of weight and is very proud of herself - so are we!  Her favourite exercise device is a laser light - she'll chase it forever!

On April 16, 2020, Furgie was welcomed into the home of a young lady where she will be the new best friend of Rene, another DunRoamin' kitty who was adopted on May 4, 2019.  Congratulations to all human and feline house members!  Congratulations, Furg!  Don't wear out Rene's laser light - we know that's your favourite toy!  Send us lots of pictures - Sam, Babbs, Gibbs, Jordan and Sarah will miss you terribly, but can't wait to hear of your new life and family.

"Orville" and his sister Corazon (see below) came to DunRoamin' on January 29, 2020 from a colony in the Woodstock area.   They were born about July 19, 2019.  Thanks to the Woodstock Community Cat Program, these two, along with several dozen other unowned cats, were spayed/neutered and had already received a rabies vaccine.   As most of the other cats were feral, they went to barns, but Orville and Corazon were tame and therefore requested to be put up for adoption so they could live in a home with a loving family.  How could we say no??  We provided the remainder of their vaccines, FIV and FeLV tests and they were then scheduled to be rehomed.  They have never been separated, so we'd like to adopt them together so they can stay as a family.  They really do love each other!

On February 29, 2020, Orville and Corazon were invited to stay at a foster home in Burton to become more ready to live in a family situation.  Thanks, Kelleys!  You are very much appreciated!

"Imelda" came to us at closing time on Friday, November 15, 2019.  She had been staying around a home in Greenfield, but was no longer safe at that location as no one could take her in and her life had been threatened if she was returned.  She is a beautiful little girl who deserves much better than that.  Imelda had already been spayed when she arrived.

Imelda was the 269th stray accepted so far in 2019 - 25 more than in the entire year of 2018.  She was grateful to have love, warmth, food and servants.  She is a beautiful little girl who wants only to have a family whom she can love and cuddle with.

On March 30,2020, Imelda moved to the Oromocto SPCA to find a family - they have many people looking for beautiful little girls like her, so we know she'll have a home in no time.  Congratulations, Imelda!  Have a wonderful life.  We'll miss you! 

"Butler" came to us on January 31, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  He was born about July 31, 2017, so was only about a year and a half old.  Because Butler came from a location where Feline Leukemia had been found in other cats, he was segregated and retested on March 18, 2019, at which time he tested negative.  Congratulations on a completely clean bill of health!  Butler has a cute little bend in his tail - come check him out!  We believe Butler is a sibling to Hollister (see below).

Butler is a very nice little boy.  It took him only a short time to realize that he was with friends and loves to be patted.  If you're looking for a sweet, kind, affectionate little boy, he's your kitty!  Please come meet him!

On March 30, 2020, Butler moved with his brother Hollister to the Oromocto SPCA where he will find a loving home very quickly - they have lots of people looking for handsome, kind, loving little boys.  Congratulations, Butler!  Tell Tracey thanks again for her help!

"Hollister" came to us on January 31, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  He was born about July 31, 2017, so was only about a year and a half old.  Because Hollister came from a location where Feline Leukemia had been found in other cats, he was segregated and retested on March 18, 2019, at which time we learned that he did not have Feline Leukemia.  Congratulations!

Hollister took a little longer to acclimatize to his new surroundings but did better each and every day.  He watches his friends and realizes they are safe, so he's come around also.  We believe he is a sibling to Butler.  He hopes for a new home where he'll be safe, loved and have the best of family!  He is loving and follows people around, and he LOVES a laser light!  We hope he and Butler might find a home together.

On March 30, 2020, Hollister moved with his brother Butler to the Oromocto SPCA where he will find a loving home quickly - they have lots of people looking for handsome boys like him!  Congratuulations, Hollister!  We will miss you!   Tell Tracey thanks for us!

"Brenda" came to us on October 8, 2019 from Belleville where she, another cat and a kitten were left in a box outside someone's home.  The other two felines were healthy were cared for by the people who brought Brenda to us.  She was pregnant, had flea allergy dermatitis, burdocks in her fur, had a hot/itchy ear and a broken tooth which required dental surgery.  Brenda was born about October 8, 2012.

Brenda is full of purrsonality!   She will purr and cuddle, then maybe swat your hand - just because!  She is beautiful and will make a wonderful addition to any family who appreciates character!  She is spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She is anxious for a new home and family of her very own.  On February 8, 2020, she went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, then returned to us in February when she had a bit of upper respiratory infection which has since been resolved and she is overseeing us as we work in our Reception Area, which she now rules!

On March 30, 2020, Brenda was excited to move to the Oromocto SPCA where she will find a home very quickly as they have plenty of people looking for a beauty just like her.  Congratulations, Brenda.  Thank Tracey for us again!

On the evening of September 27, 2016, three young kittens came to us.  "Sugar," Stevia and Splenda had been found at Pizza Delight in Woodstock.  People had taken them in but were unable to keep or care for them.  There had originally been four, but one had gotten away.  Even though it was late at night, a concerned DunRoamin' volunteer went to pick up the remaining three kittens, made sure they had food and were safe and warm overnight, then delivered them to veterinary care the following morning.  This same person set a live trap which she checked frequently in the hope of finding the fourth kitten.  It was cold and lonely out there at night, but sadly, the fourth was not located.  Thank you so much for trying - these three little ones are safe because of you.  All were born about May 28, 2016.  They all have been spayed, vaccinated, tested for FeLV and FIV and treated for all parasites.

Sugar's siblings were adopted on January 29, 2017.  She's a beautiful little girl who would very much like a family of her own.  She's come a very long way since she came to us and would like to have a chance at a home and family of her own.  She has experienced some medical problems but maintains her hope of getting her own family to love.

In August, 2019, Sugar moved to a loving foster home where she lived with several other cats and was spoiled rotten.  Even with the very best of medical care, her health has slowly deteriorated, but she is happy, safe and loved beyond the moon - who could ask for more?

On March 20, 2020, Sugar's status was upgraded from beloved foster kitty to beloved full family member.  She is so happy to know that her family loves her so much and has made her an official member - she has always known she was loved and part of the family, but it's very nice to know it's official.  Thanks to her family for everything they have given this little girl.  We are grateful she is having such a wonderful family experience.

"Deke" came to us on May 24, 2017 from Hartland where his owners were moving and unable to take him with them.  He was born about January 12, 2008, and is a beautiful senior gentleman!  He has a great personality and loves to have company.

Deke is fully vaccinated, neutered and tested for FIV and FeLV, as are all DunRoamin' cats.  He is quiet, loving, and appreciates the company of other cats and people!  He occasionally requires an injection of medication to keep him from becoming itchy, but that happens only every few months.  He's anxiously awaiting a permanent home and you won't meet a more friendly, attentive or loving little guy.

As of February 1, 2020, Deke was fostered in Rockland with his friend Hershey while he awaited a permanent home.

On March 19, 2020, we learned that Deke already had a home - he'll now be a permanent member of his foster family!  They just can't imagine him being anywhere but with them!  Congratulations, Deke!  Way to go!!  Send pictures!!

"Woodrow" was left at DunRoamin' late in the afternoon of January 16, 2020.  He had come from the Greenfield area where no one was willing or able to care for him.  The temperatures have been near -40*C with the windchill, especially at night.  It's not safe for anyone to be outside, especially on their own.

Woodrow was born about January 17, 2018, so is about two years old.  He was initially timid, but once he realized he was warm and safe, he's become a lovebug.  He is familiar with indoors and people and is very kind.  He is now neutered, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and has begun his vaccine protocol.  He's anxious for a home where he can be an indoor-only cat and be safe, warm and loved forever.  He is a real sweetheart!

On February 8, 2020, Woodrow went to stay with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please drop in - you'll love this cafe!  They have great coffee, great treats, great staff and great cats!

On March 18, 2020, Woodrow was elated to go to his new home in Lincoln with his new family which includes one older cat who really misses having a feline friend.  He'll be the purrfect addition to the family.  Congratulations, Woodrow, to you and your new family!  Send lots of photos!!

"Everleigh" came to us on October 23, 2019 from Johnville where she had been a barn cat who had lost part of her left hind leg - we're not sure how that happened, but it was a traumatic amputation.  Her owners were unable to provide for medical care or take her in.  Everleigh was born about April 18, 2016.

Everleigh required the remaining part of her leg to be amputated which took place the week of December 9, 2019.  She has recovered well and has a great attitude.  She is a beautiful frosted calico who can't wait for a home of her own.  She only has three legs, but that diminishes her absolutely NONE!  She is a beauty who is waiting for that family who will love her for all she is worth - and that's a lot!!

As of December 29, 2019, Everleigh is doing very well.  She gets along fine with only three legs and can walk, play, jump and run with the best of them!  She loves people to make a fuss over her, although it takes her a minute to warm up to them.  But if you rub her belly, she's all yours and will purr, roll and knead as long as you'll stay!  She loves attention and is hoping for a home soon where a three-legged kitty will be welcome.  She has been in a wonderful foster home in Grand Falls since January 23, 2020 where she was spoiled rotten and did very well!  They have other cats, and although she did not interact frequently, she wasn't upset with them, either!

On February 23, 2020, Everleigh's foster mom reports that she prefers an open litter box (as opposed to covered ones) and she loves to petted on her belly or the side of her chin.  She is unsure if petted gently - a firm hand is preferred!  She loves to relax beside you and isn't yet interested in toys, but we're sure that will come once she learns what they are and what they are for.  She gets comfortable in one spot and tends to stay there, but will let you pick her up or pet her.  She loves Temptations and will eat out of your hand once she gets her pets in, and will self-pet while they are in your hand.  She is quite the sweetheart!!

On February 29, 2020, Everleigh met a very nice lady from Fredericton who fell in love with her beauty and shy personality.  She will reside happily in her new home with an older shy cat - we're sure they'll become fast friends.   Thanks to this family for giving this beautiful little girl a loving furever home!  Send pictures, Everleigh!  We'll all miss you, especially your foster family!

"Purrtato" came to DunRoamin' on December 30, 2019 from a colony of cats living in the Campbell Settlement, NB, area.  They all had shelter and were being fed, but Purrtato was not in good shape.  Purrtato was born approximately August 25, 2019 and is a long-haired grey and white handsome boy.

Purrtato had a huge ball of feces matted around his anus and tail which was so large and tight that it also compromised his mobility, making it very difficult for him to walk.  The following was also learned upon examination by his new vet:

- he was extremely thin;
- the region around his anus was scalded with urine which burned the skin in that area;
- his legs could not move well due to the fact that his fur was matted so tightly;
- he was extremely constipated;
- he required an enema to remove the feces to allow him to poop properly;
- he required sedation in order to be shaved and bathed;
- he was prescribed pain medication, antibiotics and subcutaneous fluids;
- he would require supportive care under medical supervision before he may begin his routine care of vaccines, neuter, etc;
- his FIV/FeLV test proved negative; and
- his anal injuries, although severe, appeared to be superficial and with the excellent care he will continue to receive at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic until he is healthy enough to join his new DunRoamin' family, he will be just fine.  

UPDATE:  As of January 18, 2020, Purrtato is doing very well and is becoming a cuddle cat!  His fur is growing back in and he's very happy to accept love and pats!  He is grateful to have been fostered by a very caring vet tech as of January 23, 2020 and he LOVES her!

On February 26, 2020, Purrtato was adopted to a home in Bath where he joins two other DunRoamin' cats, Hannigan and Phaze.  Congratulations to everyone!  Have a great life, Purrtato!  Make sure your mom sends lots of photos, 'cause your foster mom will miss you terribly!

"Doppler" is a little boy who came to us on April 5, 2019 from Summerfield.  He and his three siblings (Audio, Video and Zadann) were born about April 1, 2019, so were only about a week old.  They were very grateful for the medical care and concern they received on this day from the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  We thank Dr Monteith and her staff once again for making their new lives possible, as well as all the people who will donate, provide food, love, fostering and all other things they will require before leaving us to begin their lives in safe, warm, loving homes.

Doppler is a very cute little boy who loves to sleep upside down!  He is big for his age and loves people!  He was on medication for his mouth due to some stomatitis, but he is now doing very well.  He should be checked every six months for awhile to make sure stomatitis is not an issue, but he appears to be fine.  He is very anxious for a home where he can be cuddled forever!

On February 22, 2020, Doppler was very excited when his new family arrived to take him home.  He now lives in Woodstock where he is a best friend for a dog and two young children who will give him his best wish - to be loved forever!  Congratulations, Doppler!  Send us lots of photos!!

"Hala" came to us on August 9, 2019 from the Hartland area.   She was skinny and dehydrated as well as slightly anemic.  She came from the same location as Dorothy and Phaze and was born about August 7, 2012.

Hala is a sweetheart.  She loves to sleep under blankets and will pop out from under them if she hears you come in the room!  She is beautiful and loving, and is spayed.  Her vaccines are up to date and she's anxious for a new home.  She's looking forward to meeting her new family!

On February 18, 2020, Hala was excited to join her new family in Oakland where she'll be a sister for DunRoamin's Asia.  Congratulations to you and your new family!  Send lots of pictures!

"Phaze" came to us on August 7, 2019 from the Hartland area.  She, Dorothy and Hala, as well as two dogs, required help.  She had some bald patches on her body, poor dental condition and scabs and scars all over her body. 

Phaze was born about August 7, 2008.  All Phaze's troubles have been addressed by her friends at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and she's hoping for a warm, loving, affectionate family to welcome her for her remaining years.  She had some teeth removed in January, 2020 and is doing very well.  She can't wait to meet her new family!

On February 14, 2020, Phaze received the best (maybe her first?) Valentine's present of her entire life when she was adopted by a very nice lady from Bath where she'll join another DunRoamin' cat, Hannigan.  Congratulations to everyone!  Thanks to your new mom for giving you a home and a sibling!!  You're gonna love them all!

"Maestro" came to DunRoamin' on January 25, 2020 from Somerville where he was no longer wanted.  No other options existed for him.  Maestro was born about January 27, 2017 and is a beautiful long-haired tabby with white.  He is a very nice boy who is happy to be warm, safe and have a full belly.

Maestro was examined at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and it was learned that he was intact, had mild tartar and gingivitis as well as an ear infection, but was otherwise healthy.  He is neutered and has completed his vaccine protocol, as well as having tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  He's anxious to have a loving family very soon.

On February 13, 2020, Maestro was excited to learn that he was officially welcomed into a family in Beardsley where he joins two other former DunRoamin' cats as well as another cat and two dogs.  Congratulations, Maestro.  Please send lots of photos!

"Pawter" and her sister Angelica (see below) were returned to us on November 19, 2019.   They originally came to DunRoamin' on May 3, 2016, from Hartland where their mom had given birth to five kittens whom their owners could not care for.  They were adopted on May 22, 2016.  Pawter and Angelica were born about March 24, 2016.  Their owner eventually developed a medical condition which made her unable to care for these two little ones, so as per our standard adoption agreement, they came back to us to find another home.

Pawter was initially scared (who wouldn't be when leaving their home?) but is fine now.  She is friendly, curious and happy to be with her sister.  They are both beautiful cats and they hope for a new home very soon - hopefully together, since they have never been separated in their entire lives.

On December 20, 2019, Angelica and Pawter went to join their friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where they hope to meet their new family.  Please drop in - you'll love this cafe!   They have great coffee, great treats, great staff and great cats!

On February 8,2020, Angelica and Pawter were adopted by a very nice family from Fredericton which includes two young girls who loved them immediately, and vice versa.  We were so happy to  hear from them all very shortly after they went to their new home where they settled in immediately and felt very much at home with their loving permanent family.  Thank you so much for keeping these sisters together!  Congratulations to all!  And thank you SO much to the wonderful people at The Purrfect Cup for caring for them and making their new home and family a reality!

On December 20, 2019, Angelica and Pawter went to join their friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where they hoped to meet their new family.  Please drop in - you'll love this cafe!   They have great coffee, great treats, great staff and great cats!

On February 8,2020, Angelica and Pawter were adopted by a very nice family from Fredericton which includes two young girls who loved them immediately, and vice versa.  We were so happy to  hear from them all very shortly after they went to their new home where they settled in immediately and felt very much at home with their loving permanent family.  Thank you so much for keeping these sisters together!  Congratulations to all!  And thank you SO much to the wonderful people at The Purrfect Cup for caring for them and making their new home and family a reality!

"Hannigan" came to us from Wakefield on January 28, 2020 when he was observed to be limping after being involved in a fight.  He was examined by his new vet at Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and found to be dehydrated and had scabs all over his body from fight wounds.  He was prescribed antibiotics to fight infection, was neutered and started his vaccine protocol.  He was born about January 27, 2018.

Hannigan is a very nice boy who is very friendly and loving.  His fight wounds are most probably as a result of trying to survive and obtain food.  He is very loving and has shown no aggression to other cats.  He will be ready to go to a home about the end of February and he's really looking forward to having his own home and his very own humans!

On February 1, 2020,  Hannigan was very excited to learn that he had been adopted by a very nice lady who had fallen in love with him at first sight.  And vice versa!  Congratulations, Hannigan!  Stay in touch!!

"Scotty" came to us on October 5, 2019 from Centreville where a colony of feral cats lives in the centre of town.  His sister, "Morag" was found the next day.  Their mother was not located.  We have spayed and neutered many from that location, but the colony continues to thrive.  We need assistance in catching, spaying and neutering these cats so that they do not have to try to survive another cold winter on their own.

Scotty and Morag were born about September 2, 2019.  They had fleas, were thin, cold and were way too young to be away from their mother.  They were fed by syringe until they wer old enough to eat on their own.  They are now spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  They were fostered in Bath with their rescuer while they awaited permanent home, then moved to another foster home with a very kind and generous lady who loves them dearly.  They have never been without each other and would like to stay together.

On December 16, 2019, while being examined as part of her medical routine, it was learned that Morag's left front leg was slightly unusual.  An x-ray revealed that when she was very tiny it had been broken and dislocated.  Now, as she was a bit older, it was beginning to show signs of being detrimental to her mobility.  Morag will undergo surgery to remove the leg on March 10, 2020 as it is not repairable.  We have had dozens of three-legged cats (see Everleigh below!) who have absolutely no trouble getting around, and she'll be fine.  She definitely still wants to be adopted with her brother and is hoping for that to happen soon. 

On January 30, 2020, Scotty and Morag met an amazing family from Zealand.  All three members fell in love with them both, and Scotty and Morag are now permanent family members.  We look forward to hearing from you all!  We know you will be very well loved and cared for.  Congratulations to you and your family!

"Baffle" came to us on June 21, 2019 from Woodstock through the NB SPCA.  Baffle was born about June 21, 2005 and is a beautiful orange tabby female.

Baffle was severely matted, had fleas, was very skinny, dehydrated and had an ulcerated mouth which made it painful for her to eat - perhaps that's why she was so thin.

Baffle has a beautiful personality.  She loves everyone, and now that she has had all her mats removed, is receiving medication as necessary and all the food and water she can ingest, she's so much better.  She had to have a feeding tube inserted as she was not able to receive food and medication through her mouth due to her ulcers.  They've since improved greatly, though, and we're sure she'll be well soon.  We hope we can find this little senior cat a nice, loving home where she can live out the rest of her years in  love and comfort.

On January 30, 2020, Baffle won the jackpot.  She had been fostered by a very caring vet tech for several weeks and worked her marvelous charm on her - she couldn't possibly do without her in her life!  She has officially been welcomed as a permanent (and very spoiled) old lady who has several new permanent siblings, including DunRoamin's Tawny who is also spoiled beyond her wildest dreams!  Congratulations, Baffle!  Thanks to your mom - for everything!!

"Hershey" came to DunRoamin' on November 13, 2018 from the Wilmot area.  She had been hanging around a home for about a week but no one was able to take her in and the weather had been very cold and harsh recently.  Hershey had a distended abdomen, green discharge from her vulva, fleas and upper respiratory infection.  She also had mild tartar and moderate gingivitis.  She is very loving and affectionate so has obviously had friends and family at one point.  She was born about November 14, 2016.

Thanks to her rescuer for sponsoring her through our new Sponsor A Kitty program - we appreciate the assistance.  Hershey is looking forward to having her very own family very soon.  She was on a special diet to ensure she got the nutrition she required, but she's just fine now!.

On January 31, 2020, Hershey was adopted to a home in Rockland where she'll join three other pets.  Congratulations, Hershey!  Send lots of photos and updates.  Your friends will miss you!

"Dane" came to us on October 11, 2019 through the NB SPCA.  He was born about October 11, 2017 and, along with more than a dozen other cats, was living in a building that was about to be demolished.  He had fleas and ear mites but was otherwise relatively healthy.

Dane has been neutered and has completed his vaccine protocol.   As of October 26, 2019, he was fostered by a kind DunRoamin's supporter, along with his friends Hicks and Jock, for which he was very grateful.  Thanks, Ariel!  As of January 11, 2020, he went to stay with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.   Please drop in and check it out - it's a wonderful place for humans and cats alike!  We know you'll love it as much as we and our cats do!

On January 25, 2020, Dane was excited to learn that he had been invited to join a family in Noonan to be a friend of their cat who had requested a friend with whom to play and bond.  Congratulations, Dane!  Don't forget to send photos!!

"Rosamundo" came to us on June 6, 2019 from the Oakland area where he had been found to be in poor physical condition and obviously required help.  Rosamundo was born about June 5, 2019 and was one of 26 cats who came to us on this day.  Sixteen came from the Oakland area and all had upper respiratory infection.  We thank the person who discovered this colony all alone and brought them for help.

Rosamundo was fostered by a veterinarian to ensure that he received the care that he required and had a good start to his life.  We thank the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic staff once again for stepping up to help save these little ones.  As of July 10, 2019, Rosamundo was doing well.  He is ready to go to a home and he can't wait!  As of October 7, 2019, he fostered with a very kind supporter in Bath while he awaited a permanent home.  Thanks, Kathy!

On November 30, 2019, Rosamundo went to stay with friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB.  Stop in and visit!  The coffee is fantastic and the staff is amazing!  And the cats will love to see you!!

On January 25, 2020, Rosamundo was elated to learn that he had been invited to join the family of a very nice couple from Fredericton.  Congratulations, Rosamundo!  You've got your very own family with kids whom you love!  Way to go!!

"Jeremy" came to DunRoamin' on March 6, 2019 from Kilburn where he had come to a home where no one could take him in to help with a tail injury.  He was examined by his new vet who found that he was a little on the lean side and had a superficial abrasion on his tail, which were treated and were fine very quickly.  It was also learned that he had an injury to his left hind leg.  He required medical treatment which included laser therapy.  Jeremy was born about March 6, 2016.

Jeremy has been neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He is extremely friendly, indicating that he probably belonged to someone at some time.  It is MUCH too cold for pets to be outside in these terribly cold days and nights, so we're happy to keep him safe and warm.   Jeremy was fostered with our good friends in Grand Falls where he enjoyed himself immensely,

On January 24, 2020, Jeremy met a very nice lady who immediately fell in love with him.  He now lives in Nackawic where he is the life of the party.  Congratulations, Jeremy!  You have a wonderful family!  Write soon!  Your foster familiy misses you!

"Myla" came to DunRoamin' on November 15, 2019 from Woodstock where she was a stray who was living on her own.  She begged for help but had received none.  She was finally rescued by a lady who drove all the way from Florenceville-Bristol to pick her up in Woodstock when she could not get her out of her mind.  She was cold, hungry, shaking and had parasites.  She is very comfortable now in her warm bed with lots of food and love and she shows her gratitude constantly.

Myla is now spayed and her vaccine protocol is complete.  She also tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  She is a beautiful little girl who whose best wish is for a human to love her.  She has that with all her friends at DunRoamin', but she would be SO happy to have her very own family in her very own home.

On January 18, 2020, Myla's wish came true.  She is now the very best friend of a young lady in Fredericton who has fallen head over heels for her (and vice versa).  Congratulations, Myla!  Write soon!  Send photos!!

"Amarillo" became DunRoamin' on December 19, 2019.  She had originally come from the Centreville area where she had some respiratory issues, blunt force trauma and fluid in her chest.  She has been treated and is now perfectly fine.   Amarillo was born about October 22, 2017 and is a sweetheart.

Amarillo is very sweet.   She loves people, loves other cats and loves interaction - specifically cuddling!  She is ready for a home now and can't wait to have her very own family to love.  She particularly loves to sit on your shoulder - she's definitely a shoulder cat!

On January 16, 2020, Amarillo was adopted by an exceptionally cat-loving couple and she will now live in Lethbridge, Alberta!  Congratulations, Amarillo!  Don't forget to send photos!  We can't wait to see them with you and your new family in your home!

"Rabb" and "Scotia" came to us late in the evening of November 16, 2019 from Centreville where they were part of an ever-growing colony of cats in the area behind Grama's Restaurant.  They appeared to be relatives of Scotty and Morag (two more kittens rescued from the same location earlier) and had very little shelter or means of survival.  They all need help.  Rabb is a boy, Scotia is a girl. As they have been together since birth they are very attached to each other and would like to be adopted together so they always have someone to play and cuddle with.   They will be spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. 

They were cold, shaking and extremely hungy and no mother was found.  They were born about September 29, 2019 and are healthy little ones, thank goodness.  They have completed their vaccine protocol and will be ready for homes by mid-January 2020.  These two siblings love each other and have never been separated.  They'd be very happy if they could be adopted together - they're very bonded.

On January 17, 2020, Scotia and Rabb were elated to be adopted together to a loving home in Riverbank.  They'll always be together, safe, warm, cared for and loved.  They've come a long way from where they started out.  We thank all who helped them arrive at their loving home.

"Flanders" returned to DunRoamin' on June 8, 2018 because he was not doing as well as he originally had in his new home.  Flanders was born about October 4, 2017 and came to us in  November 7, 2017 from the Grand Falls area.  It was learned that his bowels were impacted and he needed immediate veterinary care, which he received.  Flanders underwent several surgical procedures to repair his anus and is on stool softeners to ensure he does not become impacted again.  He'll probably need them for life, but he doesn't at all mind taking them and they are very inexpensive.  He's doing great and hoping that he can have the loving family he deserves.  He'd love to have someone who would play with him with a laser light - he LOVES chasing one!!   

Upon his return, Flanders was diagnosed with upper respiratory infection, he was not feeling well enough to eat and wanted little to do with his caregivers.  However, with a little medical care, two days later he was eagerly greeting us at the door for hugs, pats and head butts.  He's a very loving little boy who is 100% again!  He just needs his stool softeners on a daily basis for life, which he takes easily.

Flanders is named for Flanders Fields in which ". . . poppies blow, between the crosses, row on row . . ."  This poem was written by Canadian Col John McCrae on May 3, 1915, during the second battle of Ypres, Belgium, to honour his best friend, one of many lost during World War I.  They will not be forgotten . . .

On January 11, 2020, Flanders got the best New Year's present ever when he met two very nice young women from Fredericton.  They all fell in love with each other simultaneously and within minutes Flanders knew he had met his soul mates.  He now lives with his new family which includes several other cats, and he got a brand new laser light to take with him to share with his new siblings!  Congratulations, Flanders!  Happy New Year!

"Mitra" and her best friend "Dior" came to us on October 11, 2019 through the NB SPCA.  mitra was born about April 11, 2019 and Dior was born about October 11, 2017.  They were living along with about a dozen other cats in a building that was about to be demolished.  They had fleas and ear mites but were otherwise relatively healthy.  Had they not come to us, there was no other option for them.

Both Mitra and Dior are spayed, fully vaccinated and tested for FIV and FeLV.  They were initially quite timid but have learned security and self-confidence from their foster mother and all their foster siblings.  On December 20, 2019, Mitra and Dior went to visit with friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.   Please drop in and check it out - it's a wonderful place for humans and cats alike!  We know you'll love it as much as we and our cats do.  If at all possible, Mitra and Dior would like to stay together.   They are bonded and have never been separated as far as we know.  They sleep, cuddle and play together and love each other very much.

On January 11, 2020, Mitra and Dior were SO happy to learn that they were adopted by a wonderful family in Moncton where they will live happily ever after.  Thank you so much for adopting them together!  Please send lots of photos!

Feliz

Navidad

"Feliz" and her brother "Navidad" came to DunRoamin' on December 19, 2019 through the NB SPCA.  They had been rescued by a kind gentleman when people had moved away and left them behind.  The building was being demolished and they had nowhere to go.  Both are beautiful cats who appear bonded to each other - they've probably never been separated.  They were born about December 20, 2018.

Feliz and Navidad were examined at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and found to be in good physical health.  They are extremely friendly and loving and have begun their vaccine protocol.  They were spayed/neutered on December 23, 2019.  They'd love to have a home together because they love each other dearly and love to curl up together.  Feliz is a beautiful reddish tabby and Navidad is a grey tabby.

On January 10, 2020, Feliz and Navidad were excited to begin the next part of their lives when they were adopted by a young couple from Carlow.  They will now live happily ever after in a very loving home and be spoiled forever - just like they deserve!  We look forward to seeing lots of photos!!
